I think it's obvious that there's something wrong Big Ben right now, so why not start Batch for a few games while Ben gets right? Batch has actually looked during the times he's been in.
And I don't know, but I think I would need more than a few months if I had just been in a crazy motorcyle accident.

"Man, And I thought I was being dramatic. Do you know anything about football or this team?"
OK here is what the Eagles need to do........
Fire AR -- bring back Kotite
Fire JJ -- bring back Buddy Ryan
Bench the entire 1st string (O + D) -- let the 2s start (thus making them the new 1s)
Cut Brown and Stallworth (too many dropped passes) -- bring back FredEx and Pinky
Cut Westbrook (also too many dropped passes, plus a measly 2.9 yards/run yesterday is totally unacceptable) -- trade our 2007 2nd round pick to Pittsburgh for Duce (he was the last RB to run for 1000 yards in a season)

The Eagles starting Batch is a compelling prospect but I am more mystified by why the niners aren't starting Tory Polamalu ...

Yes.
Ben's ego may tell him he's OK to play, but he needs to look at his long term career. Steve Young, and many, many other players retired due to too many concussions, and Ben, despite his young age, has already had two with in a year.
Unless he's ok with being forced into retirement by age 28, he should sit out for a while.
So far this season Batch has looked better than Ben but I don't think benching him would help anything.

I think Batch should have played LAST week, and its clear Ben wasnt ready. Next week, I don't know. I'd be tempted to give him a week off to fully recover, but it would be controversial to play him the first week after a concussion THEN say you're benching him to recover

Well, there is those 4 INTs he could be benched over...........
