Every great team has always kept their uniforms the same. The Colts, The Packers, The Cowboys, The Raiders, The Steelers, etc. They have had legacies left behind in their jerseys from the 60s and 70s and 80s, and they still honor the past and wear them. The San Francisco 49ers are the most storied franchise in NFL History. We have 5 super bowls, the great QB, and the greatest all around football player ever (Jerry Rice). We won our championships, and made our name known with our old classics. Why can't we keep them? I was listening to KNBR 680 with Murph and Mac in the morning a couple days ago, and callers wanted to start a petition to get them back. Murph and Mac even said they would advertise it. I think we should start one. Great teams with great legacies should not change their past, by changing the present. I say we start something to get our classic and historic look back.

I would start one, but I don't have a site to stat one. I'm serious though, I really want the old one's back. Too many good memories in tose, and too many bad ones in these

The changing of uniforms is something that seems to have crept in from Association Football, here in England all the soccer teams unveil new home and away shirts almost every year, purely to make even more money out of the fans, then reissue them 10 years later as 'retro' designs this is made worse when teams switch kit suppliers or shirt sponsors

I LOVE the 49ers current classic burgundy and gold uniform. Why change a thing of beauty?
The team can still wear the fire-engine red stuff as throwback on special occasions. Why mess with the uniform again?
Let's concentrate on winning and being more supportive fans. Seems to me that's more important than how the players are "packaged"...
