Hey Guys... this is my first post. I have a quick question...

I've been checking out niner tickets on ebay and elsewhere, because i'm considering purchasing someone's season tickets for a single game.

if i wait till July or whenever the tickets go on sale...what are the chances of getting decent seats at the regular price. Will waiting automatically put me in the upper reserve.

I've only had the priveledge of going to one niner game so far. I hope to hit a few this season. I saw the Niners vs. Giants wild card game a few years ago...Wow, that was a game!

Thanks for your help!

You're post is confusing. You want season tix or single game tix? At any rate, the season tix available are in the end zones and upper reserved direct from the Niner website - call them. Existing season ticket holders are able to buy single game tix in advance of the general public. This is when prime lower reserved tix can be purchased. General public will get stuck with upper reserved, most likely.

I want to buy tickets to a single game. I'd like to get some decent seats, preferrablly in the lower reserve. If I wait till July, will I get stuck at the top of the stadium? Sorry, i hope that fixes any confusion.

What game do you want to go to? You will not get face price from even the Niners. They mark-up single game tix, too, and you'll most likely get upper reserved in July when they're released for sale. For lower reserved, you'll pay a premium from online brokers and other sources.

Have you ever considered getting your own season tix? You can get them now. Good lower reserved endzone seats - a pair for $1280 + minimal fees/season. The ones I saw were in section 36 row 12, I think it was. I had lower reserved section 34 for 5 seasons - endzone by the large screen. Just got moved to section 26 on the sideline, endzone.

I live about six hours from SF so it would be hard for me to go to the games. I want to see the niner vs. packer game.

My brother in law is a greenbay fan! So my wife and I would like to take him to see Favre get whooped up in monster stadium.

I can buy single game tickets on ebay (from a season ticket holder), but the prices get kinda expensive. So i may gamble and get them in July.

Oh, I didn't notice you're from Santa Ana. I have some family there.

If you stick around here during the season, you may be able to buy some tix from season holders that can't make it to the game and want to dump them.

As someone who is quite experienced in ticket selling and buying, let me enlighten you to what you are facing regarding tickets for a PACKER game:

1. The PACKER and the RAIDERS games will be the most popular and thus one of the most expensive to buy. There is a very good chance that once single game tickets are available to the public, they will be gone in the 1st few minutes.

2. PACKER fans will be the ones that drive the prices up. Because they aren't divisional foes of the 49ERS, and they don't come to San Francisco very often, causes California PACKER fans to open their wallets at the chance to see their team live.

3. PACKER Season Tickets are passed from generation to generation creating a waiting list that could be 20 years long (I'm not kidding)! So what do those without Season Tickets do? They plan vacations based upon where the PACKERS are playing road games. So a game in San Francisco in mid-December certainly has a great appeal when compared to a TV in Wisconsin.

4. Waiting may increase the availability of tickets, but it will also increase the number of buyers and there will be less time to explore options.

My advice, if you are convince that getting tickets to the game is REALLY what you want to do, buy the tickets from a Season Ticket Holder now. You'll be sure that you have tickets to one of the most, if not THE MOST, popular games on the 49ERS schedule this year. Plus, between now and the day you tell your brother-in-law that you've got tickets to the PACKER game, you will enjoy thinking about his expression when you tell him!

Side note: I have 5 Season Tickets, bought 2 seats for just this season, and made a trade for 2 more seats just for the PACKER game = 9 seats. At this time, 6 seats have been sold already, 2 of the other 3 will go to my son, and the last seat will be used by myself or a friend of my son.

You won't find anyone 'dumping' tickets to this game!

Since he gets 2 seats, he can either take his wife or a friend, or both if I don't go. If he wants the 3rd seat (I have 3 in this row) I may have to tell him that seat will have to be paid for. I won't charge family, but these seats do cost money.

Of course, If Raquel Welch wanted to sit there, I'd adopt her!

It will be hard to get them direct when they go on sale. Season ticket holders get first dibs and general public 1 or 2 days later. Check Ebay for pre-season tickets.

I'm a season ticket holder and plan to go to all the games. If something comes up and I can't make it to a game, I'll keep you in mind.

When do you plan to go back - leave Stockton?

If it's a pre-season game you are looking for, buying thru Ticketmaster would be over-paying for them. Here is the cost you would be looking at:

STH $49.00=$59.00 to gen. public +$6.00 conv. fee +$4.00 s/h fee = $69.00(upper levels).

STH $64.00=$74.00 to gen. public +$6.00 conv. fee +$4.00 s/h fee = $84.00(lower levels from 20 yrd. line to endzone to 20 yrd. line).

STH $84.00=$94.00 to gen. public +$6.00 conv. fee +$4.00 s/h fee = $104.00

Check www.craigslist.com for people selling 49er tickets and ask what they want for a pre-season game ticket.

or there will be people standing just outside the stadium selling tix, for your convenience...j/k

I will not be attending the preseason games this year. I'm either going to give the tickets to some of my family members or maybe just barter them. I know PeterProud got some Wine for tickets last year. I wouldn't mind getting some bottles of Corralejo Reposado Tequila. I'll keep you in mind as well..

Hey thanks for the info....I plan on leaving Stockton around the 25th or so...not too sure yet. I'll keep my eye out and see if i can pick up a ticket. It would be so sweet to catch a game, i've never been to an NFL game and a niner game would be unbelievable.
