I know it's early... But I can't wait til fantasy football starts up again!!!!

----------------------------------------------------
What sites to you use for your league?

I've used ESPN, CBS Sportsline, Fanball and Yahoo.

We've been using Yahoo for the past 2 years. We're pretty happy with the Plus league. I like the real-time tracker on Yahoo the best.

Side note: Fanball has the worst league tracker.

----------------------------------------------------
What other sites do you use for fantasy football info?

I've used:

Pay sites
www.footballguys.com
www.askthecommish.com
www.espn.com (Insider)

The best I've used is the footballguys website. I've had good luck with it. They got some good stuff on it. Pre-draft they have an interactive Excel spreadsheet that you can taylor to your own league scoring rules. During the season they have a good in depth review of players to watch for.... and many other things.

One of the most effective tools I found was a real-time mock draft site on http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/. In late June or early July, they'll have a link where you can join a FREE mock draft. You get to draft against real people. I found that this was probably the most helpful in preparing for my drafts.

I've used MFL for years. I host my dynasty leagues there and it comes out to 5 bucks a player for a 14 team league ($69.95)....real time scoring and lightning quick support. We also link and archive all our old seasons and get to keep the pages as long as we host a league. It is simple to set up, but has diverse scoring tweaks to fully customize your league and think it's the best value in pay sites.

I've heard good things about that site too.

I've personally never used it. Maybe I'll do a test run, this year, with one of my smaller leagues.

Thanks for the info!

For my main league (8 years and running with the same people) it looks like we're set on Yahoo. We're familiar with it and in my opinion their Plus league is the best!

Off-seasons suck.... the NBA makes some of it bearable...
But all year round... All I do is look at stats and news, during work, during my commute to the city, when I get home... I'm addicted to fantasy football...

Do we have any other Die-hard fantasy footballers in here?

What sites do you use?

AOL.com hosts fantasy football leagues? I never knew that. How did it go? Do you like it better than Yahoo?

never used yahoo, I might try it this year last year I used espn, foxsports and nfl.com, espn was so/so, foxsports was terrible, the only one I have ever quit, nfl.com I really liked and will be using it again this year. I usually have 4 or 5 teams minimum a year.

Ive been running my league since 2000 on cbssportsline. We are very happy with it. I run a 10 team league with a $100 buy in. "Westcoast Fantasy League" We made T-shirts and hats last year with the proceeds going towards our draft party and payment of the site. I was invited last year to use Fox's fantsay site and it was horrible. Good Luck this year guys. I to am a die hard. Our league is holding a draft lottery in June to see were will be drafting. It makes for intresting message board trade talks.

That's cool...

I run a three leagues ranging from a $100 to $350 buy-ins. We usually do 12 teams a league. I was thinking of doing one as a 10 team league and having 2 starting QBs every week.

In my main league we got a perpetual trophy. Winner gets to keep the trophy for the year and get his name engraved on it. So it gets competitive.

We also tried something new last year, we paid for each transaction. So each pick up, add or trade cost money. Added it to the pot for the winner. It worked out cool.

We usually do our draft order in June too as soon as yahoo starts back up. All the owners are really into it, so there lots of trash talkin. Makes it more fun...

Man.. I can't wait...

We've been using Fleaflicker.com (http://www.fleaflicker.com) instead of yahoo this year. it's a free site and so far we've been impressed. if you're willing to pay, i'd suggest sportsline because thats the best. but for free leagues, fleaflicker or yahoo.

Yahoo has a good free site, but I really dislike not having the FA's locked out during the games. Only dropped players go on the WW. If you are away from the computer, and acutally at a game or doing something with the family or just having a life during the weekend, then someone is there to pounce on the replacement player or up and coming player instead of using a regular WW ranking. It really is a drag.

My mail league is using CBS/Sportsline - cheap buy in at $30 each for the 12 man league and we get a payout for top three. The league manager has almost total control for rules and reports, so it can be set up to your league's odd scoring or rules. They've returned to having a free game, public or private, so I imagine I'll throw myself in a couple public leagues, too.
---Let me know if one of you board members is setting up a league on CBS and have room for another team---

Done a couple leagues on MFL and they're ok, but stats are not as well presented as Yahoo or CBS. Graphics are weak.

Lastly - avoid ESPN. Just take my word on it. It's 12 months later and I'm still mad.

yahoo is still the best for Fantasy Sports if you're new to it and even if you've been playing for a while. I've done a few others, but none have the statistics, ease of use as yahoo does.

I've used Fanball , Sportsline and Yahoo. I 've mostly enjoyed Fanball but Sportsline and Yahoo have their good points especially Yahoo for being free.
I used to think that thehuddle.com was SWEET but then it changed into a pay site . That made it not so sweet anymore.:tung:
