Maybe only on a "throwback day" or something. The last jerseys colours were too 80's and won't look right in today's NFL.

If I recall correctly, last year we used the throwback jerseys during one regular-season game.

they'd put FEAR in the eyes of the opposing team because it reminds them of our glory years when we had the best team in the NFL year in and year out.
These current uniforms are fine...but I feel there are now way too much associated with "L" around the league.

DK, trust me the unis will again change if only because the business side of the game will warrant it. Change sells esp. in football, if not on the team, they'll bring out something new for the fans to buy in the stores. Of course it may not happen till the end of the season but it will change.

Last year for the Tampa game it was "Red Fog" day and they worn the uniforms of the 80's. The last time we wore them before for that was the MNF game vs. the Eagles. I like the ideas of a throwback game maybe for alumni day. Joe Montana was at last years.

I noticed that when things aren't going really well, ppl want to change things like logo's and uniforms back to what they were in the better days. As if that's going to change anything.
Here in Holland, fans of AFC Ajax want to change the logo to the old style. Well, Ajax ain't gonna play any better if the fans get their way.

Same with the 49ers. They won't play any better in those old uniforms.

Besides, the current uniforms look way better! So just keep them this way. :sflogo:

You're right on Darkiller. It was a mistake to change them in the first place. Forget the people who keep saying "stop living in the past" ..they don't get it. This is a sports franchise with a glorious past. That's what you do, if you have a past. That's what the Yankees do, and the Celtics, and the Steelers, and the Packers, and I could go on, but you see my point. Sports is about tradition, not the flavor of the month. People relate to those uniforms because that's what's on the Super Bowl highlight reels year in and year out. It makes absolutely no sense to depart from that. Hopefully one day soon the front office will figure that out.

Remember in 94 the Throwbacks that they had? Those were from I belive 1956. They had them for one year and it was the worst the team had ever done at the time. It has been 10 years since we have went to the ones we have now. Seeing what some of the other teams have went to I'll keep what we have thank you very much.

The current unis are just fine,besides the old jersey looks too plain for me,even though the old uniforms represents the niners glory years.I don't mind the team wearing once a year but not for an entire season.

The 49ers are NOT going to bring back the old unis full time. They are associated with perhaps the greatest decade any NFL franchise ever had. Games like Red Fog day are special because of the untianted feeling those jerseys bring out of us.

If the team changes unis, I think it will be something new. Like it or not, the old unis are going to stay the old unis.

I grew up watching Rice, Montana and Young in them uniforms. I truly adore them and especially when they were away and playing indoor teams like new orleans, minnesota and indianapolis, because they were forver clean. not a stain on them but whats football without getting a little dirty.
