Jersey Buying Help From a UK Fan!

Hey all, I'm from the UK and am looking to buy a jersey (Probably Lawson...) The thing is I'm kind of confused about the different types and sizes of jersey. Am I right in thinking that an 'authentic' jersey is made to fit with pads etc, whereas a 'replica' jersey is downscaled and made to fit like a normal t-shirt? I just want to buy one to wear around the house rather than to play in, so I'm guessing I should go for the replica right?

Also I'm not sure about what size to get. I'm about 6'2, 180 lbs and my chest is about 41". I like my shirts to be fairly tight-fitting but not too tight! I normally buy regular t-shirts in medium or large, so I'm thinking I should go for either of those... what would people recommend?

Sorry if I sound a bit anal or weird, I just want to make sure that my $90 shirt is a decent fit and thought you guys would be able to give me some advice! Thanks!

EDIT: I've just realised that the offical 49ers shop may not even ship jerseys to England, anyone know if this is correct? And if so, does anyone know of any sites that do ship to UK? Thanks again!

im about 5'10 or 5'11 and my alex smith jersey is a medium which is still a bit big. i think medium should be fine

I am 5'10" and weigh 168 pounds and I have a Large replica jersey and it is nice a baggy just how I like it. It will shrink a tiny bit in the wash. I think a Large would be right for you based on how you want it to fit. A medium at your size will be real tight and real short.

Alright, thanks for the help guys. I guess a large might be the safer bet, I could always shrink it on purpose if it's way too big... But first I've gotta find somewhere that ships recent jerseys to the UK!
