In another post, some members brought up a new game from EA, NFL Head Coach. It's set to be released sometime in late June. I never heard of the game until then, so I decided to pull up some information on it.

Check it out:

It's a crazy concept, something not done before at this level. It's a football RPG! NFL Coach the SIMS version haha! Well not really...

I know they've had "Coach mode" in some games in the past, but this bring it to another level.

You get to be an NFL coach and do a lot of the things a real NFL coach does. In this game you don't control the players (Which kinda sucks). But you do more than just call the plays every week. Crazy huh?

I'm pretty sure this game is NOT for everyone... But if you're like me... This might help to hold you over until Madden '07 comes out...

I know I'm getting it... I buy every football game.. good or bad... sometimes they just collect dust after a week or so... I even bought Blitz: The League... which sucked... it was pretty bad... I ended up selling it on ebay to recoup some money... But I really sold it because I found my 8 year old son playing it... and the language and things was pretty bad... Plus the game play sucked... but that's another story...

Bottomline: Nothing compares to the simulation of Madden, even before they cornered the market... But this new game by EA, might be something worth buying...

I can see an On-line application of this game being a blast (if they have one), would seem to eliminate the cheesy gameplay that happens on NCAA and Madden

there is.

This game should be fun... its like a madden game of chess... you will have to have faith in the players you have put on the field and the situation you allowed them to be in...

did you buy AFL? LOL

we had a thread on this on the old board and it's a game that i really want to get. if it wasn't for superstar mode in madden this would probably replace madden for me.

LOL! Except that one!!!! ARENA FOOTBALL!!!! But I was tempted and almost got it!!

I got almost everything else from 10-Yard-Fight to Tecmo Bowl to everything else in between to Madden 06!

I got all the consoles... I just need to find an old Cyberball Arcade machine!!!!

This game should be intersting. I am pretty excited for it. Especially the NFL Draft stuff.

I'm sure people will still find a way to cheat... it's inevitable..

this game will be a rental for me and if i like it i will buy it, if i dont then i just wait for ncaa to come out. i am skeptical of this game, then again nothing like it has ever come out so we will see.

I agree.. not sure if I will buy this one... but may pay the late fee and keep it a little bit :tung:

i utilize game stops 7 day return policy i just find it easier than renting a game that i know more than likely i'll wanna keep anyways.

if i don't like it i just take it back for either full refund or have them just do credit towards the game i'll get the next month...

I didn't know that Game Stop did that.

That's good to know! Thanks Tizzzz....

Kiper recorded information for 40 draft classes, so each season you'll hear new, updated info on fictional rookies.

wow that is so many. online would be so sick..

Well Chaps, if this game is anything as addictive as the Champ and football manager games in UK then were in for a treat. The odd divorce is known to have had these games as part of the reasoning, they are that addictive.

Only problem is it aint out over here, so i think im gonna have to import a PC version of the game and go from there....but looking forward to this...

Also annoyed we dont get to play NCAA over here either, hopefully they will release it on the 360 with out regional coding so i can bring that in too
