Any suggestions on how to make it state-of-the-art or what would be the perfect stadium for the Niners?

Hard to say. Plans have been going on for a while now. Not sure on the status, although I've heard several times over the course of the year that they're working on something.
I'm more interested in winning first though.
Renovate Monster Park!!! It would cost less money for one and much less hassle. Upgrade this historical stadium to where its just as high tech as other teams new stadiums!
On a different note I imagine when it does come down to a new stadium and Monster Park getting demolished, Just think fellow niner fans...THE LAST GAME ever played in this great stadium should be a world of motivation to win that last game, They CANNOT loose the LAST GAME in this stadium.

Getting a new stadium will boost more bandwagon fans, that means we'll be popular again, and popularity means more people cheering on gamedays, that results to countless wins and a superbowl venue right at the heart of San Francisco.

I believe that "The Stick" can't be just renovated because of the earthquake restrictions. I do know that the stadium rebuild is on the books again. Here is the article if anyone is interested.

The San Francisco 49ers picked an architecture firm and construction company to help with the preliminary design of a possible new stadium at Candlestick Point. HNTB Architecture Inc. will provide the planning and design services for a new stadium and Turner Construction and Devcon have been retained for the pre-construction management phase of the project, the team announced Tuesday. "We are excited to work with such a top-notch team with the demonstrated ability to deliver projects with design excellence, innovation and usability," 49ers spokeswoman Lisa Lang said in a statement. HNTB designed the Denver Broncos' new stadium and is working on the renovation and seismic retrofit of the University California's Memorial Stadium. The 49ers also confirmed that the team is looking at new ways to finance its planned new stadium at Candlestick Point without relying on the $100 million in revenue bonds approved by voters in 1997.

Sweets, not only cant it be renovated, but also, the land that candlestick sits on would need to be refoundated to see if it could support another earthquake. Also the land that its built atop of, was made of landfill, i.e. the 1906 earthquake debries. Not only is safety a key issue but its now going to cost at least $700 Million just to create a new stadium. York was thinking about creating a stadium in the old hunters point naval yard.. lol, i laugh at this since he's all bull@#$# and what self respecting person would build a stadium ontop of left over toxic/nuclear waste. lets face it, we need EDDIE DEBARTALO back!!. he would of built a new stadium in no time cause he loved his loyal fans like family. plus lets see york go into the bayview at 3am and try to come out alive. no i want to see that infact, i'd pay to see that. There i said it !!

I like Candlestick I'm not feeling the new plans of a mall with residential housing and all that bull ****. A football stadium needs to be a football stadium.
