I've been reading some rumors he might be released due to cap restrictions and his injury history,Could we possibly pursue him if this happens to play 3-4 DE?

Hes good at in in madden lol j/k

He might be a little heavy and slow for a 3-4 DE...

He could be an alright NT. Not great or anything but certainly better than Ron Fields. Personally out of all the potential cap casualties there have been rumored to be from the Panthers I'd take Ken Lucas.

he is good but i think he is one of the most overrated players in the NFL. dont get me wrong, he is pretty good but with all the pressure on Peppers and Rucker that teams leave Jenkins one on one with an o-lineman that other DT's in the NFL dont have that luxery.

plus Jenkins wont come cheap. not to mention he is more of a 1-gap player that is more concerned with penetrating then he is holding the point of attack. i really dont think he can humble himself enough to be a 3-4 NT.

When Jenkins is healthy he can collapse the pocket, doube team or not.

As for him being a NT or DE in a 3-4, I think he could handle the NT spot. Hes a massive run stuffer.

yes a run stuffer but in a different way. he stops the run by penetrating the hole and disrupting it. that isn't what you want in a 3-4, you want him to take on blocks. he will not be willing to do that IMO.

True, I standy by that he'd make a good 3-4 NT but I agree that he'll prefer to stay in a 4-3 and get those sacks numbers.

Aren't the Panthers suppose to have alot of cap casualties?

Both DTs and Ken Lucas have been mentioned.

Mike Minter is a playmaker, I doubt we could ever pick him up but he's been solid his whole carreer.
