If we decide to draft a defensive player in the first round, we will obviously get a receiver sometime later. Two receivers I thought looked good were Jason Hill out of Washington State and Chris Davis from Florida State. I think that Hill showed good hands and had some good routes in the senior bowl practice. Plus all of the yards he got while at Washington. Chris Davis showed some skills too. The thing that impressed me the most about him was his speed and his ability to break away from the corner. I think he would be a good kick returner for us, even though we drafted brandon williams last year for that reason. What do you guys think?

I like Stuckey and Higgins as well, also Craig Davis from LSU, Steve Smith from USC, and Brandon Myles from West Virginia. Any of those would be fine post-first round picks.

Well, Robert Meachem and Calvin Johnson are the only WR's worth our first. If we get one later I'd like atleast one of Mike Walker, Svelle Newton, or Jason Hill.

Besides Jason Hill I also like C. Davis, and B. Myles( he kept showing up big in the redzone drills in the senior bowl practices).

Jason Hill WR Wash. State is a guy who struck me as a great possible future 49er. Burmeister, Mayock and the other guy did an interview with him. He struck me as a humble, teamplayer. He said he enjoys the physical part of the game, especially run-blocking. Hill looks to have enough speed to create separation and ran solid routes at the SenBowl practices. To top it all off, the kid is from SAN FRANCISCO. A sign of things to come?? maybe

the thread says later round WR's yet everyone here is talking 2-3 round guys. sorry i'm a bit confused. are we talking late round or first day WR's?
Well the thread starter suggested we were to draft a defender 1st rd. then pick up a WR in later rounds possibly.
Given this senario where and which receiver would you pull the trigger on? :wheel:

sorry i consider later rounds second day. a first day player is not a later round IMO. are we talking 2-3 rounds or 4-7 rounds.
makes sense. :surrender:

Love Jason Hill as a later round WR pick...i've followed the guy through college (My dad is a WSU Alum...) so he has been my favorite receiver...great hads...more of a possession receiver...but that is what we need...thank you for mentioning his name bro...

Aundre Allison from East Carolina would have to be thrown in the mix. Not sure how high he is projected. Good showing in Senior Bowl raised his stock.

Jason Hill, Brandon Myles, and Allison I like alot. Paul Williams wouldnt be a bad pick either but he didnt stand out as much as the others.

I think a 4th round pick who could be a sleeper because he needs coaching like sulliven call provide is Paul Williams - from alma mater Fresno State - he has the speed and size but he needs time to develop - maybe two years - he could be worth a 3rd round pick.
