I'm surprised Tom Brady wasn't the alternate. I'm really shocked.

He could've been. Didn't you read the second paragraph?

What a joke! Now we have to hear about him being a pro bowler next year! That stat better have a * next to it

NFL.com must have an error on their stats page:

http://www.nfl.com/stats/leaders/NFL/PRAT/2006/regular

Cause when I click on it, it has Vince Yound with the 30th worst passer rating in the league. That can't possibly be correct for a pro-bowl QB.

Well...the error carries on in the fast QB's page, because he's a frequent Pro-Bowler and yet he's only cracked an 80 passer rating once...must be some strange history rewriting virus...:spy:

This is ridiculous. It does not matter how many wins you lead your team to. The Pro Bowl is all about statistics and Vince Young had more interceptions that Touchdowns this year. The 30th ranked passer has no business in the Pro Bowl.

Maybe I'm still asleep. This doesn't feel like reality.

hmm, wouldnt you think that Brady and McNair would have been first 2 alternates. The article did say:

Young was not among the first two alternates but other quarterbacks declined an invitation or are injured

Obviously Brady was a higer alternate than Young.

The bold ones were voted in as starters. The italic ones were likely the alternates. The only other player on there who could be more deserving than Young is Pennington given that the Jets were probably a 3-5 win team on paper, but so were the Titans. The difference is that the Jets made the playoffs.
