No complaints, I just thought that Buffalo got a bit of a bargain on that one.
I agree but my main concern was to improve the supporting cast of young Jason Campbell and I feel I have done that...with that being said there is a lot of depth in the OT section of the draft
No, really... I mean it... top Wide Receivers for sale!

02-12-2007, 09:37 PM
i gave him my starting RT, 3rd WR and 4th rounder basically for Jansen. two players plus a 4th rounder....i dont think anyone got the better end.
Your starting RT had started half a year in the league and was a 7th rounder, Josh Reed is eminently replaceable (and I'm not sure why anyone would want to acquire him, especially someone who already has underachieving little guys). Maybe I just overvalue Jansen, who is injury prone, but I thought you made out like a bandit.
Nevyn
02-12-2007, 09:53 PM
Penningtons play actually allowed the bills to move Peters to LT and Gandy to guard. Pennington was also a big reason the Bills serged at the end of the year, the o-line improved when he was put into the rotation. Reed is a good 2-3 WR, in fact he plays in a similar role to the 49ers Arnaz Battle. dont under-estimate him. plus i gave him a 4th rounder. sorry i wouldn't expect you to know this stuff but i'm from B-Lo.
I live pretty close to Buffalo too. I didnt watch many of their games this year thanks to TVU showing me 9er games, so maybe I'm not giving Pennington enough credit.
But Josh Reed I do know, and I'll take Arnaz any day of the week over him. He has had his good moments, and is quick (but not that fast) but is also prone to prolonged cases of the drops, and is going to a team with 2 receivers who play the same role better (lloyd and randle-el).
Wow, I've never seen someone work so hard to convince people he DIDN'T win a trade.
Nevyn
02-12-2007, 10:44 PM
well i'm being honest and think it was fair. BTW nice observation of Reed and his speed as it describes Battle as well. both quick but not fast, and willing blockers. both are nothing more than #2 or #3 WR's at best but play well in the role.
um Lloyd is a bum and is the worst of the 3. he had 1 good year as our #1 where he had no business being any teams #1. Randle El is a good #2 or #3 i agree but is much different than Reed. Reed is a much better blocker and your posession guy. Randle El is your YAC guy or gimmick player because of his quickness.
Reeds speed is comparable to Battle's, but I think Battle runs better routes for a starter, has better hands, and is better after the catch.
And I wasn't saying that Reed is the same as lloyd and Randle-El, just different takes on the same role. I would want any of the 3 to be my 3rd receiver. Randle-El is a weapon as a 3rd receiver, Reed is less flashy but more consistent, but best in the slot, where his quickness gets him seperation, and while Lloyd isn't an over the middle guy he does have good athleticism. I agree he's no #1 and I'd rather not have him as a #2. Lloyd I would like to have (if I had him) as first off the bench. Move a starter to the inside for a mismatch, and let Lloyd take the outside.
That was my point. Washington now has Randy Moss and 3 #3's. And maybe I overreacted to this one, but remember the context. He just traded away his LT,too.

i just want to point out how well Dean is running this mock. even as people's interest is weakening he has kept this thing going real well. good job man!
thanks a lot, I just hope it keeps running smoothly
I second that
What is this? arse-kissing happy hour? :tung:
J/k, I third that... especially because he had that little accident when the draft order was missing and he went on to review both threads (Draft and Trades) to recover the information. Kudos!
With that said..
I just went over to review the draft order again, and I found three 7th round picks that "belong" to Arizona... that's not true, as the Cards currently hold no selections in that round... all of those belong to Dallas.
http://www.nfl.com/draft/drafttracker/round/round7
And....
Arizona is currently holding three 4th round picks. If you're interested in trading up, send me an offer. I'm looking to add up late round picks. Don't offer me any players because I may reject those proposals. 1-800-PMFEZ, call now!
