From an informal pool conducted within our group of ticket holders (I asked around), most have purchased the same amount of seats as last year. I suspect that we're reaching an equilibrium where the amount of cancellations in season tickets equal new purchases.

Last year, I think there were approximately 4 games that were in danger of being blacked-out. The reduced ticket offer "4 tickets for $149", corporate support as well as the local FOX affiliate purchases prevented anything from happening.

In my honest opinion, this year's situation will mainly improve due of the scheduling. AZ drafted well and has some buzz. Additionally, most games outside of our division are unique in their appeal or rivalry (Philly, GB, Chokeland). Finally, Seattle is the top dog in the NFC and the Rams are always hated. The only two games that may have a little doubt associated with them are SD & Minnesota but even those two have advantages over games from last year (i.e. Houston on New Year's Day, Last year's AZ team).

I think this years schedule will help. Last year there were only 3 home games that had big names that was Dallas and then NY Giants and then the Colts. The rest of the home games were a lot of who? I think the big deal with the Rams is starting to go away now. They are 10 years out of L.A. and they were on the down slide. The only game that might have a problem is the Dec. 24th game vs. AZ Cardinals. Even with the big names they have it is still Christmas Eve.
One thing I do not like with this years schedule is once again we play the same teams in preseason and then again in the regular season (Oakland, Chicago, and SD). This is the secound time in like three years that they have done this.

I would buy season tickets if I could get halfway decent seats. It’s a three-hour drive, one way from where I live, when there isn’t any traffic but I’d make the trip and shack up in a hotel the night before and night after the game if it were worth the extra time and money.

The seats offered at sf49ers.com aren’t worth the time, money or trouble to purchase for someone like me who lives less than an hour from Reno.

The best thing to do is put in for season tickets. When you get picked you can go to the Stick they give you a map of the seats that are open and you can go in and check them out. I travel 6 hours one way and we go up on saturday and come home on monday. 10 vacations a year.
