Lions designated defensive tackle Cory Redding their franchise player.
ESPN's John Clayton reports Redding "is not happy" and is hoping to be dealt. Detroit had been trying to sell Redding on the idea of being part of a potentially dominant interior duo alongside Shaun Rogers, but he'd have none of it.
