Might that reason be you're bitter and somewhat irrational in your thought process.

You know how childish you sound with such a post.

There is no way Norv goes 8-8 and misses the playoffs with such talent he has to work with.

He can't possibly screw up with all that talent. 11-5...but a division round exit.

10-6, just b/c of the extreme amounts of talent that that team has. Overall I see Denver getting much better and reclaiming that division. I also see Kansas City finally getting a WR and also competing hard in that division.

I see the bolts finishing around 10-6 and 2nd in the division behind denver.

I say 12-4 with a playoff win and Philip Rivers improving.

This has nothing to do with the Niners........

10-6. They're losing both ILBs and although they're high on ILB Cooper its hard to imagine that D being the same without Edwards and Godfrey inside.

Plus, with all the new coaches I dont think things will go as smoothly as they did last season.

No more Norv.... he is a freaking Charger!!!!!!

12-4, 1st round bye, maybe make it to the AFC title game. Toss up from there.

And oh, 8-8? Are you forseeing an LT season ending injury?

10-6 second in the AFC west and a first round loss. Norv is fired and reallizes he was a lame duck and Cower recieves the largest contract for a coach in the history of the NFL.

No this isnt a prediction against Norv, I see Denver as the team on the rise and i think SD loses 3 games in the division. LT will not be the same back he was last year, and that defense wont be nearly as dominant sans Edwards.

10-6 or 11-5

Just wondering why you think Denver is a team on the rise? They could've been a playoff team this year but couldn't get a win at home against a sub 500 team like us.

Maybe he has inside info on LT being on the next Madden cover.

Not only that, they also lost their CB2.

Assuming no major injuries to key players, 12-4.

Rookie QB, no running game to speak of- Neither will be the case in 2007 and IMO Cutler will be a top 10 QB and Walker will be the #1 WR in the league in terms of yards. M Bell with another year will be much better and they may actually add a dominant back via draft or FA. A #2 corner can be replaced fairly easy especially with whats on the market and in the draft. Besides what WR combo in that division scares anyone besides the ones on Denver already? Sheffler showed major promise and so did Marshall, DEN offense is going to be SCARY good next year.

I am not bitter if Norv hadnt left us this year he most certainly would have left next year (assuming next year is an improvement), with our team on the rise most people credit that to Norv, alot of teams need help on the offensive side of the ball so assuming their is a HC job open next year Norv would have been the front runner

With a completely new coaching staff somehow it is irrational to think that the chargers will go 8-8 as i think they will, you forget how important coaching is at best they will go 10-6

If history is our witness, rushing leaders the following year dont even get close to the numbers they set the year before, but then again it is LT so who knows what can happen there

I still think that Norv gets fired a year from now

I agree with the first part, but there is now way Cower gets the biggest contrat in NFL history from the chargers.

Cower used to work for Marty and he would never take a job the Marty was fired form. It is like replacing the man who he respects more than any other in the league and the man he learned everything from. No way Cower becomes the next coach of the bolts.

You're right about Norv being fired though. However I see it in 2 years.

9-7...if they're lucky

and yes, im being bias!:penguin:

Norv and everyone is going
to see why he is not head coach material.

A genius sitting down calling plays but,
stand him up, make him walk around the
sidelines and make split second decisions...
redskins, raiders anyone?::yikes:

LT....Rivers...yeah, I know. We know.
But all eyes are on San Diego...even Vegas is betting on them.

Trust me, this is where it all goes down hill.

.

The Chargers owners have a reputation for being cheap, and being hard to get along with, which is inpart why they have had so much coaching turn over.

Unless GM AJ Smith is fired or quits, the Chargers want a "yes" man to coach during the game, while Smith runs the show. Unless that changes, I doubt Cower would come out of retirement to take over a team where he would have no say in anything, nor would Spanos want to pay top dollar for a coach when he has Smith on the payrole.

I'd say either 10-6 or 9-7. Norv won't change much to any system that Marty put in and ran well.

Here are the teams the CHargers are scheduled to play next season:

HOME
Houston
Indianapolis
Chicago
Detroit
Baltimore
Oakland
KC
Denver

AWAY
Jacksonville
Tennessee
Green Bay
Minnesota
Patriots
Oakland
KC
Denver

Indy, Baltimore, Pats, are the three teams that will give them the most trouble. They have some real easy teams, like Detroit, Oakland twice, Vikings, and a struggling Green Bay team.

Assuming the Chargers have no serious injuries, their roster of over Probowl players should easily have a over 10 wins.

Norv role's as HC is much like Big Ben's role with the Steelers in 2005: You don't have to be the reason the team wins, just don't make any mistakes and let the team carry you.

If they win more then 10 games I'll be shocked. I just don't see them matching let alone improving uopn last season with the coaching overhaul. I'll be rooting for Merriman at least though.

11-5 , theyre going to use LT the same way they did this year, Norv is basically going to run the offense still in my opinion and he is a smart man that knows how to use strengths and weaknesses..SD has some great strengths...and as long as theyre D can hold they will be solid. there is no way that they can drop off that much with the amount of talent SD has...good luck norv you lucky SOB...
