Schaub is staying in ATL. The new regime wants to have a Plan B if Vick doesnt fit into their offense.

He signed a 2 year deal last year and he was really only to be there until Walters or another QB was ready to take over so I can't say this was surprising. Going into last season when they signed him I didn't expect him to stay for more than a year.
but no one is ready to take over the QB position on their current roster....

I read that they're shopping Shaub.

All I read up to this point was how they wanted to keep him. Guess not.
Good find, rep.

I admit it is a bit surprising, given the Raiders currently don't have a solid plan B right now, unless they are 100% for sure going to draft a QB #1 and have him start from day 1.
I still think Walters could be a good QB if he wasn't on a team that wasn't so dysfunctional.
But given the teams O-line issues, it doesn't really matter who's playing QB for the Raiders.

yeah i agree too, a typical Raider move...should have drafted a QB last year and they ended up picking up brooks and now they cut him....what a waste....

Well, they also owed him a 5 million roster bonus pretty soon, so I'm sure that was a big factor. Not surprising at all.

I'd say Leftwich, Carr, or they stick with Walters. Shaub will be way too expensive for the raiders.

You could be right, however
Leftwich-staying put imo, Gerard is just a good backup not a starter
I heard that Carr might be heading to Minnesota. They need a QB b/c Jackson isn't ready and if Garcia isn't available then Carr might be smart especially if it doesn't cost too much (draft wise).
Walters-they also might stick with him b/c he has the big arm also and has some experience.
Also someone that is being shopped around right now is Joey Harrington. The dolphins want to trade him. Cam Cameron needs a QB and Harrington sucks, Culpepper isn't ready/done, so don't be surprised if they draft Quinn.
