What do you guys think about Mcgahee being traded.

And no I don't think we should pick him up

I know, and I agree, but this isn't a thread on who's better.

Giants need a back, and Mcgahee would probably be cheaper than Turner the Burner.

i doubt that

i doubt that

He will because Turner will likely come with a first round comp. or second round. I think that Willis could go for a third and a player.

Still think looking at Rhodes in combination with Jacobs is best route for them tho.

I agree, I think all they need is a good 3rd down back/change of pace type of player, and Rhodes is exactly that. He wouldn't cost as much as a McGahee either.

Jacobs should get the job. He is a very solid back that can handle the job. It will be a slap in the face to him if they bring in a new guy to start. If they do that, I don't see Joacobs staying long in NY.

I dont like McGahee at all but if I were the Giants Id do this. McGahee needs to be in the spotlight to succeed and NYC can give him that more than Buffalo can.

I don't know about Jacobs. He's surprisingly poor at running through trash for someone everyone assumes is a between the tackles runner.

I just see him get caught in trash and slowed down by it all the time.

I think they can get away with using him though. Giants have a lot of weapons and that will make any runner more effective.

I kind of don't want to see him do well because I traded him away in my dynasty league. But I have a feeling he will.

I do. I think he'll respond to a move like that, just like you'd want him to respond. He's a very emotional player and already plays with a bit of a chip as is. As a GM you bring in a new guy because most teams are really going to the 2 back rotation. You also let Jacobs think he's not being allowed to compete for the starter position and see how he responds. Like I said, i'd almost put money that he'd respond like a coach would want him to based on the way he played last year and the way he did respond to the staff trying to get him to learn when to lower the boom and when to try and avoid a tackler.

This situation reminds me of the Rams when Faulk retired last season (is he retired yet?) and gave the reigns over to Steven Jackson. What would Jackson have done if the Rams decided they needed to replace Faulk.

I have no idea how this will work out. I just think that Jacobs has done enough to get the starting job. Now if they bring someone in to be his backup thats another story.

I don't see Jacobs being the number 1 RB. I think he is good for around 12 carries a game. However, it will be interesting to see what the cost of getting McGahee is. The Giants have a lot of holes, so if the Bills want a lot, the Giants should just pass.

BTW, smart move by the Giants to lock up Blackburn for a few more years.

Id stick with Jacobs....the man is a bruiser

He's like Jerome Bettis....except skinnier, taller, and a hell of a lot faster.

why get someone else?

just pick up some rookie scat back from the draft in the later rounds.

Jpcobs should be the man in NY now

The answer is no because I don't want to see him in the NFCE.........:whistling:

If the Giants get McGahee. He will blow up in the locker cause chaos. The Giants will miss the playoffs. I'm all for it.

They still have Eli so even if they make the playoffs a first round exodus is still in the cards.

Fixed it for you.....:banana4:
