I'd probably stick with some cheap seats if the good seats are going to cost an arm & a leg....

niiiiiiiiiiiiice.

Their sports designs are nothing spectacular. For this project they had better bring their A game. Both Seattle and Arizona has sweet stadiums. We should have something on par or better.

Yea we need to get this thing done,It's sad when the Arizona Cardinals, one of the lamest franchises in NFL history, have this great stadium while we're stuck in this 30 year old dump. Why didn't we push for a stadium after the inital super bowl runs?

If they going to make it right at the stick, how long will it take to make it?

Hopefully this new stadium will be just as magnificent as Pac Bell Park. (err..at&t park...). Although it certainly is in spot of heavy winds, so I'm not sure how much of a view can be provided if it were to be moved.

Any new stadium will also mean higher ticket prices and PSL's...

<BLAM> <BLAM> <BLAM> "LOOK OUT! 3rdRow is on the loose."

I know this is not what anyone wants to hear but anyone hoping for a new stadium needs to understand that there will be a cost passed on to fans. Additionally, as of right now, there's just not enough demand to support any additional increase in ticket costs nor any amount needed for a PSL.

<BLAM>

You also need to consider that there's a tremendous amount of resistance for any public money to be spent supporting a stadium in the city & county of SF. That $100MM Bond will have so many legal challenges that the cost/benefit to secure it might not be worth the effort. Finally, the overall insanity of SF politics and environment makes any talk about building a stadium in SF a huge uphill battle.

Back long ago, Measure B (The one to allow the Giants to build PacBell...SBC...Ummm Att?!?...Park using only private funding) passed by the slimmest of margins (~50.4% to ~49.6%). Interesting enough, that was during the start of the Dot Com/High Tech boom so everyone was playing nice. After "Videogate" and the other PR disasters, the environment in SF is almost toxic.

When and if the 49ers are able to return back to a competitive level, that's when stadium talk will heat up. Additionally, targeted sites for the new stadium will most likely be down the Peninsula and could be as far down south as Mountain View or Cupertino.

This is probably not what anyone wants to hear but any talk at the moment is just that...Talk. York is a businessman first and foremost so don't kid yourself into thinking that he won't put his own financial interests first over the fans desire to have a modern stadium.

They have nice work, especially the one at Mile High. Very modern, almost like a mueseum or library. I like it A classy stadium for a team of greatness. I hope our stadium will be huge(hopefully the biggest in the league), Then all the events will come to the bay area, Olympics, Superbowl, MLB All-Star game, etc. And when the Superbowl is here in Candlestick, hopefully we will be playing in the Superbowl.

And when they demolish the Stick I'll be there, just like when they blew up the Geneva Towers. It will be nice to see a new beginning.

It IS the oldest stadium in the NFL! It's crappy and antiquated. They've added a new PA system, upgraded the BIG screen, added a small screen on the South endzone, but it's just a band-aid.

With the Mayor's plan to make a play for the 2016 Olympics, I feel that a renewed interest is swelling down at City Hall and amongst the surrounding counties. Since the City missed out on the 2012 Olympics to NY and eventually to London, a bigger push for facility improvements, along with infrastructure embellishment should help the 49ers secure some sort of first step in getting the stadium project back as a priority.

Back when Willie Brown was pushing for a new stadium at Candlestick Point, the interest was there, along with the initial stages of financial backing. In today's climate, that momentum will need to be renewed.

The problem with the stadium issue is that many San Franciscans today are what we call "carpet baggers." People from all over the country who flock to the City because it makes them feel like they're different because they live in a "liberal" city. Well that's all fine and dandy, but they will be the ones who vote on the new stadium initiatives. The reason that is a problem is that the 49ers fan base extends passed the city and county borders and includes people from the Sacramento area all the way down to the San Luis Obispo area.

A stadium in San Francisco would be nice, but tax-payers in the City that don't support football, and that includes many on the Board of Supervisors, just don't see a stadium as a priority. Granted there are many issues that should obviously take precedent over the stadium project such as funding public services, but a new stadium in the end, like what Pac Bell Park did for China Basin, will provide inject some life into the Candlestick Point area. It'll also conincide with the want to bring more options for transportation into the ballpark region.

I just hope that once this project does get going, that it is done right and that the 49ers have a stadium that the rest of the league will envy.

I just hope I can get good seats as a season ticket holder.

I also think the city of San Francisco needs to wise up or accept the fact that the team is going to move.
