That Nolan isn't stupid enough to trade away all of our picks to take a chance on Calvin Johnson.I can't believe some of the stuff im hearing, some people act like he is the biggest thing since sliced bread but the fact of the matter is the draft is a crapshoot either way and there is no reason to mortage our future for ONE player we don't even know about when we have much bigger needs.

I agree with you Alaska but people around here aren't going to listen.

- This post will soon be off the front page and it won't stop the flood of 'noobs' who will all open their own naive posts later on on the same topic without doing a search first.

- It still won't appeal to the vast mass of younger posters on here who have little to no sense of draft history. Not to mention that it's unreasonable to think any of a dozen other quick WRs could be better someday. Remember, top draft picks always get busts in Canton, right?

- No amount of rhetoric will dissuade the general board population from not glazing over just by seeing his measurables. It's amazing how many players with great measurables don't pan out but yet we should sell the farm for this one kid.

- People are still in denial. They want to think we're a pass first, WCO team and that we need a 1,500 yard WR (we don't even have a 3k QB yet!) to win. Not that rookies historically won't even produce as well as Battle did this season and we're a running team and we drafted a receiver last year!

Kwame Harris and a 6th rounder should be enough.

People can be noobs and still have a lot of knowledge on Niner draft history. And people can be noobs and be excited about whatever player or whatever topic they want. It's a message board. Why don't you save your arrogance and condescension for other places where it's a better fit.

As for the topic of CJ, he won't fall to #11, and I don't think he or any other player in the draft is worthy of trading up for. I like Branch or Okoye, and if they're both gone, I hope we take Landry.

No way you're jealous of the post count or the number bothers you one bit... :francis:

So you're saying that noobs can have an opinion and express it, but other more knowledgeable posters can't? It may come off as arrogant to some, but I don't think anyone is really intending it to come off that way. I think it's more a case of someone just knowing more than someone else.

no i just find it funny that a person that is 39 still takes offense to everything like your still in middle school. guess what buddy, i think its time to grow up.

Speaking of middle school, maybe you should try using capitals at the beginning of sentences. Also, it's "you're" not "your." I'll start listening to blowhards like you, when "your" english becomes a bit more readable.
