Johnnie Lee Higgins is my hometown boy here at UTEP, I have seen him play for about 3 years now. But, why the hell would you go around telling everyone that you are going to break all the combine records and then post a 4.48. Just go out and show what you got and let the numbers speak for themselves. Now I think he definitely dropped his draft value by having a big mouth. Maybe now we can snag him in 4th even, instead of the 2nd or 3rd.

4.48 isnt that bad but alot better was expected from him.
He'll still probably go in the 3rd.

Because most WR's (and athletes in generall nowdays) talk the talk but rarely walk the walk.

This is funny. It's like if a player runs a 4.48 he's slow. If you lined him up next to Calvin Johnson and made them sprint 20 yards from a WR stance at the sound of a gun, I'd pick Higgins. Say what you want about Johnson's time but he's been coached and primed for that specific drill for 2 months now. He also was fairly slow out of the blocks regardless of his final time, several players got out faster than him but lacked the top end speed. Johnson has the makings of a guy who needs serious time and space to actually reach top speed. Higgins on the other hand was quick in footwork.

Ask the UTEP homers why their boy disappeared in the New Mexico game this year.
Trust me, we don't want to waste a draft pick on this guy.
