I heard Fitzgerald ran a 4.63 in the 40 yard dash.

According to http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/larry_fitzgerald

If Fitzgerald can be such a dominating receiver, why can't Jarrett at least do well in the NFL? I'm not saying Jarrett will be Fitzgerald. I mean, I heard Jarrett runs around a 4.5-4.6. I don't see why if Jarrett is availabe in the 2nd round, we do don't go after him?

Screw Jarrett, I like Rice and Paul Smith. They both had good combines and can prob be had in the later rds.

1) Fitzgerald did not have a reputation for being unable to handle press coverage.

2) Fitzgerald had amazing ball skills. Jarrett has the stats but not the same knack for the impossible catch.

3) That 40 time is off. Larry's speed is around 4.5. Jarrett wouldn't run at the combine , and when a guy can move UP draft boards with a run in the mid 4.5s, not running is a bit of a telltale sign that he isn't in that neighbourhood. My bet is his best pro day time will be 4.65.

they are completely different WR's. they play completely different styles.......and BTW its reported Jarrett runs in the 4.7's

Both physical, both very good route runners, both have excellent hands, both will contort and fight for the ball, neither has top end speed...

It's reported that Jarrett runs a 4.7. It's fact that Anquan Boldin ran a 4.74

Fitzgerald was incredible coming out of college, he had the best hands I had ever seen and was one of the most complete WR's out there. Jarrett cant hold a candle to Fitz in any way, other then maybe stats, but even then its not even close as draft prospects.

So is that.

I'll elaborate when you do.
