As a Cal fan, obviously I would love to see the niners use a mid round pick on this guy. He's got all the intangibles to be great, but there was questions about his natural ability. Well, he lifted 33 reps at the combine, as much as Adam Carriker and Alan Branch, and 10 more than Willis. Extremely strong player and I think he'd be a great 3-4 ILB. Haven't seen his 40 time, but I like Bishop just as much as Harris who I have seen talked about a lot on these boards. And yes, I am bias towards him. If he runs a 4.7 or so would you think he'd be a good 3rd round pick? Or is he a second day guy?

love Bishop. Really do hope we get him. Definitely biased as a Cal Student, but i've seen him workin' out before my lacrosse practices at hte field. the guy is quick, hard working, and a striaght up G

I've liked Bishop for awhile. In my current mock, I have us taking him in the 3rd. I don't think he will slip any farther than that, unless he runs like a turtle in the 40.

He ran in the 4.8 range, I believe. I'm not a cal fan(obviously), but I really like the way he plays. I think he'd be a good pickup in the later rounds.

i'd love to get bishop. he is definitly raw but very talented and hopefully would become the heir to smith in a coulpe years.

was anyone else shocked to see how well LB Quincy Black did in the combine?

I like him a lot. It sounds like a lot of 3-4 teams are talking to him too. He's good at fighting through garbage to get to the ball-carrier, and he plays faster than he'll time. My only concern with him is he tends to bite too hard on play-fakes. If he straightens that out, I think he'll be a fantastic LB in the NFL.

Been saying it all along, I want this guy to be wearing a Niners uniform in 07. I think he is special talent and will blossom as a pro bowler within 3 years of being in the league. I hope we take him with our 3rd pick.

I agree, especially on the pasrt on how he bites on the fake. If he fixes that at the next level he will be a beast. I see him being around in the 4th and if he is I think the 9ers got to get this kid.
