Didn't Len Eshmont wear #81? I think I remember someone here mentioning it last time the "curse of #81" was brought up. Wasn't a WR though...

Not sure I understand this whole thing about numbers in the NFL though. In a sport where there's one number per position, I suppose I understand the trepidation about living up to past wearers... but when there's 99 to go at, I really don't get why people focus on it. A few months ago, a poster in the "Around The NFL" section claimed Cutler was going to be rubbish because the number six is rubbish....

T.O. is one of the best athletes in football and he does amazing things in the open field. His mouth is his to use. He is emotional and has a will to win that overshadows his humility... even my grandmother knows his name. He must be doing something right.
