Donnie Edwards

First off I would like to appologize if this type of thing has already been a thread but I looked around a bit and didn't find anything...

So Donnie Edwards is a Free Agent this year and while I know that he is old...(33 i believe) but I think our team could REALLY use a guy like this. Right now our LB corps. really consist of good pass rushers (TBC, Manny Fresh, Brandon Moore) but Donnie Edwards is a GREAT cover linebacker and with the crappy play of Ulbich and Crazy Eye Smith..I think we could really use Donnie Edwards. He has played in the 3-4 scheme and obviously has payed for our new Deffensive Coordinator. This is just what our team needs, a great ILB that knows the system, the coordinator and can drop back into coverage. The reason I say his coverage skills is what we want and need is because let's face it, Keith Lewis and Michael Lewis (presumabley our two starting Safeties) are run stoppers, not coverage safeties.

So what do you guys think, you think we could possibly pick up Donnie, have you guys even heard anything about him visiting with teams?

no, i think hes getting up there in age and hes too undersized....the guy is about 222lbs and hell hes even allergic to grass lol

It alright, maybe if we had some sort of a "post minimum" this wouldnt have happened *hint hint*, nothing against you.. but to other people starting threads and setting an example to other people like how you thought it was ok...

If someone has something to say, just say it. It is all about football. Way too many classroom monitors in the schoolyard. Relax and and just enjoy the fact people are posting in the first place.
