Who did Baltimore give up for Willis?
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I dont know what Reloader heard, but i just heard that Baltimore was an option and they inquired about him since Lewis most likely wont resign with them.

Well I know they're trying to get a deal done. If they did...well that's nice for them I guess. Just hope he stays healthy.

McGAHEE TO RAVENS TONIGHT OR TOMORROW?
A league source tells us that there's a good chance that the Buffalo Bill will trade running back Willis McGahee to the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday night or Thursday.
Per the source, there are a couple of other teams still in the hunt for McGahee. As of now, however, the Ravens are at the front of the pack.
Also, a reader tells us that there are reports on Sirius NFL Radio that such a trade would entail Baltimore sending a second-round pick and a fifth-round pick to Buffalo.
If the trade happens, Ravens likely will be signing McGahee to a long-term deal. Based on recent contracts, McGahee could get $20 million in guaranteed money. (Ray Lewis will be thrilled with that.)
Meanwhile, the Bills are looking for McGahee's eventual replacement. Chris Brown visited Buffalo on Wednesday, and Corey Dillon is up next.

I actually said "wow" out aloud. I haven't said anything fo rabout 2 hours, here at work, and I just opened my mouth and words fell out.
This is huge. Baltimore actually have some kind of weapon of use on offense.
Sorry, about the description of McGahee, I can't say the Ravens have a star, because hes up and down.

Buffalo's offense officially looks like they won't score more than 150 points this year.

He's got an average of 3.9ypc. Can't really say he's an upgrade over Jamal just the newest reason to draft a RB and start over at that position.
Yeah, thats why I said "Baltimore actually have some kind of weapon of use on offense." See how i didn't say, Wow Baltimore has a good RB, or they have a top player on their offense now?

that would be a good combo, but what happened to baltimore not having any cap room to sign players???
Let go of: AT, J. Lewis, Their Guard, etc, but willing to give 20 mil guaranteed to willis. wow

I don't like McGahee a whole lot. I'd pass if I was Baltimore...
Well then again, if I was Baltimore I would have got Travis Henry before Denver did.:whistling:
i would be extatic to get Willis out of Buffalo......he's a chump!
An egocentric chump.
Best back in the league... my arse!!!

Yeah, that butthead (edited for niceness?) screwed me in Fantasy Football, he was gonna be the next big thing at the running back position not too long ago.

Yea it was his third. In '05. I took him and was too excited. i think he had a couple good weeks but was always good for 70 yards. which is nothing in the world of fantasy football..
But I do like him as a back. Just hopes he gets back on track.

Wow a 2nd and a 6th rounder for a proven RB? That's a great deal.
yep, the Bills raped B-More pretty good. the good thing for them is they can't improve many things on that already stacked team so they wont miss their picks too much.
the problem with the Bears trade is they showed their hand too early and let everyone know Jones had to go so any team interested knew they wouldn't have to give up anything for him.
I have a question, tho... if the Ravens complete the trade, how are they supposed to pay the big bucks McGahee wants? This is the same team that couldn't keep Adalius Thomas (screw a patsy) and had to cut Jamal Lewis to make some space.
Unless they promise him to get that cash next season when the cap goes up again and some other contracts are finished.

The News
The Ravens have acquired running back Willis McGahee from the Bills in exchange for a package of draft picks, according to ESPN.com. The deal will reportedly send McGahee to Baltimore for the Ravens' third- and seventh-round picks this April and Baltimore's third-round pick in 2008.
Our View
With Jamal Lewis out of the picture the Ravens needed a back, and the Bills were aggressively shopping McGahee. With the move they get a back who is two years younger and has almost 1,000 fewer NFL carries; however, with McGahee set to become a free agent following the 2007 season and the Ravens not exactly flush with cap space, three picks seems like a relatively steep price to pay.

and no team is going to sign him for cheap. Willis has let it be known that he wants to get paid and plays for money.

Really? So most backs play for...free?

Yes, Warrick Dunn does it all the time. I don't know of any RB that would dare play for money, what is this world coming to.
