MIN - Vikings Offense Will Sputter?

Source: Vinnie Iyer, SportingNews.com

Vinnie Iyer weighs in on the Minnesota Vikings new offense: " . . . expect this team to perform much like '05 Raiders or '05 Browns, with a lot of offense consistently churning through its running back, but there won't be enough big plays from the passing game or defense to get it to .500."

We tend to agree with Mr. Iyer that they'll likely struggle. You can see the team projections we have for Minnesota here http://footballguys.com/currentproj-min.php

The WRs could be inconsistent. Koren Robinson, Marcus Robinson and Troy Williamson. Although who ever emerges are the number 1 could be good #3 WR for your fantasy team.

The RBs are who I am looking at.

Chester Taylor could be this years Lamont Jordan.
Mewelde could figure into the mix too, though. I think, Chester could be a borderline #2 RB but great #3 RB this year.

I'd say taking any MIN RB will be a worthless pick. It will be RBBC despite what reports say, none of them have shown they can handle a full workload and none have shown the ability to stay healthy even splitting carries, I'd look elsewhere un;ess your league rewards ST yards or PPR.

the vikes just really haven't recovered from the retirment of Robert Smith..and quite honestly i don't see them making that commitment to the position and to finding a pure RB to take that spot instead they go with a bunch of guys and always intend to do it with committee

I agree their RB won't put up big numbers this year.....with zero passing game, their running game will falter
