11. San Francisco (7-9)
Projected pick: +Ted Ginn Jr., WR, Ohio State
Ginn may never be a premier No. 1 receiver in the NFL, but he possesses elite speed to stretch the field vertically for QB Alex Smith. Ginn also is a home run threat in the return game. However, it should be noted that Ginn's draft stock is in question due to his lingering foot injury, which prevented him from working out at the combine and Ohio State's pro day.
Link but I think you need insider to get it (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft07/insider/columns/story?columnist=mcshay_todd&id=2794709)
I don't like this pick. I am not to confident with Ginn jr. I rather pick someone else and try to get Steve Smith or someone else in a later round

UGH i hate mocks that have us taking Ginn. If we take Ginn, i wont watch the rest of the draft and wont even check to see who else we draft.

It just astounds me how much Ginn's name alone keeps him around here.
Reading the description, it just makes NO sense at all. They say Ginn probably won't project to be a #1 WR...and that's pretty much where everything stops. Let's get this straight..Ginn ISN'T supposed to be a good reciever and could very well become a return man only..and they have the Niners, whose need at WR is either a consistent #2 guy or a #1, taking him at #11? That just makes no sense to me at all. Ginn ISN'T consistent, he probably won't be a #2 reciever in the NFL, and once again, could very well end up being a return man only. You just don't take that type of person at #11.
Every player is liable to being a bust at a certain position. The fact that Ginn is being projected to fail at his supposed primary position pretty much tells the whole story, IMO. You just DON'T take someone being projected as Ginn is here at #11. The fact that he is a somewhat elite return man doesn't justify him being an early 1st rounder.
Keep in mind that this is all being said without even MENTIONING his foot injury. When the injury is mentioned in a short report in a mock draft, that's one more thing that just screams to me that Ginn isn't worthy of a #11 pick.
Rarely will you ever see someone with this many comparable question marks be taken so early. The fact that Ginn doesn't have lights out talent given his position almost assures me that he can and will not be taken this early.
If the Niners want a potentially decent reciever that is good at returning kicks, go find one in the later rounds. Ginn's high profile school and publicity is the only thing keeping him around the top 10.

The only big plays I ever saw the guy make were on Kick returns and end arounds.....There are only so many end arounds that you can do in the NFL before the D begins to sniff them out. Could you imagine, Ginn trying to do an end around on Julius Peppers???? Forget the strecher, they have to carry him out in a body bag!!!!:ahh:

This is BS! Just for the record. Jerry Rice was the 16th pick in 1985. I'm not saying he will ever come close to Rice but if he can produce half in the NFL what he did in college this guy will be huge. Never ignore speed. It might just be one factor but the Niners should never forget their identity. 2-3 years in the future he will still have his speed but he will also be a lot smarter and better in other areas. This is guy is pure gold, a raw diamond. He won't be there in the 2nd round so the Niners should pick him if they get the chance. No question about it!

lol whatever you say, buddy.
The guy has suspect hands, poor route running, injury risk, he's proven very fragile, could very well be limited to being a return man..but **** he's fast. Let's draft him at #11. Sounds like a great idea...especially with the defensive talent and superior offensive talent that will be on the board. If only Nolan would open his eyes and see things this way.

i like ted ginn fist pick he has the ability to change a game with a big play if u knew what u know now devin hester would have been a first rounder second we round beyond we can build our defense there will be alot of quality df players left for us to draft that can help beside the return game is very important think about shorter drives

Is it possible that Ginn is still living off his high school hype, this guy was supposed to be the **** when he came to columbus, but I dont think he ever played like a first round pick.
The only thing this guy got is speed, he may have alot of it, but he lacks size, toughness, hands and work ethic.
He reminds me of Peter Warrick, and I feel the Warrick was a better player in college, and we saw how well he turned out. The only thing I like about this pick, would be in Madden next year I could play action to him all day right past the Rams and Seattle's corners all day long!!

I love when people expect Ginn to be the next Hester when truth is no one has ever had a season like Hester did and now people expect Ginn to come in and do the same.
He'll probably become a good STer but his route running is awful and probably wont improve due to his long strides. His legs remind me of Reggie Williams' who still tries to get by on his athletic ability like he did in college.
Probably a good 3rd WR and solid return man. Thats not #11 material, more like mid-late 2nd.

You should've edited that for grammar, as well. Or just deleted it entirely.

I hope these posts are just someone making a joke profile and playing with everyone.
