What positions do you think we will address in the draft? Some positions i think we need to draft

Offense

OT
OG/C
RB
WR

Defense

NT
DE
OLB
ILB

Some other positions that i think might get addressed as well, but not so sure about it is CB and S. I dont think they will draft a corner and i dont see the point in drafting a FS not named Laron Landry. Thats just my thoughts, what are yours?

Our biggest holes/needs/???'s IMO are:

1. WR - Battle is very good when healthy though probably not a traditional #1 in that he is not a 100yd and TD per game threat consistently.

Lelie looked pretty good in that highlight reel in the Lelie thread, but I am sure there are some lowlights that could be put together on him or he would not be going to his 3rd team in 6 years. Not exactly Rice/Taylor/Owens bio material.

And we are only 1 injury away from Gilmore or Brandon Williams. Not good.

2. ILB - not going to rehash what I and others think on this board about D Smith and Ulbrich. To put it kindly, they no longer seem to have the speed to be a force at this position. So we need someone to start alongside next to Moore. I'd be ok with David Harris in rd 2 if we dont go Willis in rd 1.

3. OT - Not sure about Snyder and why he could not unseat Kwame last year, but we better at least have a very good backup (probably wont be Kwame) for when Jennings and Snyder are sure to go down. If Wragge or Estes are starting any games at OT in '07, Alex's hands might suddenly get small again. I would not be shocked if we take Levi Brown if Okoye is gone.

4. RB - a good FO will assume what the team will look like if its starter goes down. I would not want to imagine what our record would have been last year without Gore.

I am an MRob fan, though I am not sure he has shown the vision or elusiveness to be a starter for anything more than a game or 2. I still think he might make a better safety with his mental understanding of the game.

I DONT think Dline is a big hole - there are some solid, though unspectatcular guys there. Of course I would love to get Okoye at 11.

At OLB I think TBC, Manny, Haralson, and Roderick Green are all young and good enuf to get a crack at taking the position over. The only guy I would out and out draft in rd 1 would be Gaines Adams, and he has as much a chance to fall to us as does Calvin, the moon, or Jupiter.

I also have to trust the FO about safety, though I am not overwhelmed by the M Lewis signing.

Wow, people vastly overrated FS Mark Roman. Roman is definitely in contention for the worst starter on defense. Here's how I have our needs:

1. WR (Self-explantory)
2. T (Harris is terrible, Jennings is fragile.)
3. FS (Roman should not be a starter)
4. NT (We need someone to compete with Franklin for the job)
5. DE (Young/Douglas/Oliver/Fields are a decent rotation, but we need someone to take over for Young/Douglas next year)
6. ILB (Moore has one spot locked down, Smith and Ulbrich could get us through the season, but are not long term solutions)
7. OLB (TBC and Green are good pass rushers but liabilities in coverage, Haralson is a question mark due to injury)
8. RB (Gore needs a backup, Robinson has potential but is too raw for the role right now)
9. CB (Clements and Harris with Spencer as the Nickelback is GREAT, but we are going to have to replace Harris in the next couple years)

***Edited because I left out OLB***

FS is the biggest hole in the defense at the moment, if we elect to fill it in the draft it needs to be in the first 2 rounds to secure a starter right off the bat. I dont see us taking one any other place in the draft as the guys we have now are basically the same as any second day DB we would draft.
Beyond that, DE WR T G NT ILB OLB RB that would be the order of needs to me.
