What's the cut off date for signed Free Agents?

The last signing to happen, I think, was Cato June to the Bucs yesterday.

Compensatory picks will be announced sometime next weekend, or early next week. Since they are untradable anyway, perhaps we can add those in as a bonus when they are announced. I doubt we'll be into the third round by then, so they shouldn't have too dramatic of an effect. Obviously, we won't be able to plan around who and how many picks are awarded, but you may be able to get an idea if you go to your team's message board. Just a thought.

Just a thought for those who are thinking about picking a good team like Pit or IND.........I was about to go with SD and completely revamp their roster. It'd be pretty fun to pick the Colts and try to get a new starter at every offensive position, just to be different.

Thanks for the sympathy lol but dont worry about it. I kinda wanted a certain team if I was gonna play but I missed out.. I probably wouldn't be that great at it anyways, I dont really know about many of the prospects in this year's draft.. Well, besides what I read about on here.. So have fun guys maybe I'll hop in on the next one if there is one.. Peace!

Broncos | McKinley contract update
Wed, 21 Mar 2007 09:57:02 -0700

Updating a previous report, KFFL has learned the contract free-agent DT Alvin McKinley (Browns) signed with the Denver Broncos is indeed worth $8 million. The deal averages $2 million per year.

I didn't even know he was a free agent, anyway you can add him to your roster JRice80, I took him off mine.

Also, guys like Shawn Barber (Texans) Monte Reagor (Eagles) Brandon Stokley (Broncos) and Vonta Leach (Giants) can be added to rosters.

An FA draft after the draft wouldn't make any sense.

Because you would want to know your needs before the draft...in order to draft accordingly.

Because if you need a FS...and you're waiting for that FS in FA...31 other teams could get him.

This doesn't make sense. We'll be drafting players to fill needs, but if the team we have signs a free agent of the same position after we draft a guy to fill it, we're stuck with a dumb pick in the first round. Bad idea. The cut off date needs to be before the game begins.

If the game starts tomorrow at noon, the cut-off should be midnight tonight. Then, all unsigned FAs should go back to their original squads.

Just food for thought, but there are some rosters out there with only like 40 guys on them, getting the 2 or 3 guys back on their roster will make a difference for them.

Last year we played every game with the signings as being current up until the game started. I don't see why we're trying to throw a curve ball into this game.

If this is what everyone wants to do then we'll do this but I dont think Al Wallace, Ian Scott or Michael Myers should be changing what anyone does in round 1. Especially teams the top of the round considering by Monday we'll be on pick 10........or so.

If everyone wants to make the cut off tonight at midnight just say so and thats what we'll do but I'd prefer to have the most accurate rosters possible and like I said, are these backup/low grade starter FAs really gonna change your 1st round pick?

Revert them back now.

Seriously, this will have an effect on the game, maybe not for your teams, but for those involved they will. The game has begun, any free agent or release should go back to their original rosters. Trying to keep rosters as accurate as possible in this game is laughable. We make so many unrealistic trades, it would be a moot point. Just put them back in the game, on the teams they were on before FA, and let's go from there.

If we wait until Monday, it will effect my pick, trades with DET, and I will disown that team. There's no need to make this this confusing, let's just play how we've always played. No one is going to benefit greatly from it. If you want one of those guys, you'll just have to trade for them, simple as it has always been.

We cant revert now. Trades have been made and some FA's have been traded.

Why not?

None of those players have been traded. If they weren't on a roster, than they couldn't have been traded. Let's just keep it simple, put them back where they were, and play this game how it's always been played. I really don't understand why we've gone this far with this. It shouldn't have been an issue. Every year, we've played by the same rules, once the game starts, all FAs go back to their old rosters, and we go from there. These games have so many trades, rosters are not going to be realistic by the time we finish. I don't see the point in leaving some quality players out of the game. Or waiting until you've already backed your team into a corner before we find out if they will go back.

This is ridonculous. I'm out if we can't get this fixed immediately.

First off, you're overreacting. I know you want all these guys in the game, which they will be, I just didnt want to give owners unfair leverage. I dont see how Ian Scott, Michael Myers, Keenan McCardell or Aaron Brooks will make a huge impact on who you select at #2 but then again, I dunno what you've got up your sleeve....

These guys may have no value to you, but picking at #2 means I've got to get it right. There are a few different needs I can address, and if I can make a trade for one or more of those needs, it will cement my decision with the pick. I have interest in acquiring some of those 'limbo' players, and it would be nice to know who's door I need to knock on to get them...especially with a critical decision looming.

ATL. Trades dont affect the game as owners were under the belief that they would have that player. If that makes sense.........

I dont think it would be fair to take HOUs 2nd as make them move down in the 1st as their owner (9TTE I believe) was unaware of any such move when he took the Texans.
