Is there a new found respect for n00bs or did he actually know how to negotiate?
New found respect. I'm not the kind of guy who's looking for rip-offs. And no, no need to bring up the Nguyen trade from last year.
Two solid starters (I like Clayton a lot, BTW) for a guy that doesn't want to be in Oakland anymore and a backup.

Unsigned players, like Ken Hamlin, are not active until they sign with a team. They cant revery to their old team cause theyre no longer property of that team.
Our draft may not start for another week or two so most of the bigger name FAs still left should have signed by then.

Then we should go by who has signed all the way up until the day this game starts, and have the free agents revert back to their old rosters. Otherwise, there's going to be a few good players that will disappear from the game.

I dont like the idea of guys going back to teams they wont be playing for.
I'd rather go for accuracy and leave Ken Hamlin out of the game then put him on a the Seahawks who wont be re-signing him. It'd be an unfair advantage for the Seahawks owner. Also, the remaining FAs arent big names at all and their impact on most rosters are minuscule.

Okay, so say by the time we start this game, and guys like Hamlin, Tory James, Cooper Carlisle, Jeno James, Al Wallace, Grant Wistrom, Michael Myers, Ian Scott, LaVar Arrington, Kawika Mitchell, Peter Sirmon, etc...guys who could really help a roster are still unsigned, that a signifigant amount of starters that will disappear from this game all together.
That also leaves a lot of tradable players off the table. There are too many guys that could still be unsigned, and could improve rosters to just leave them out all together.
I suggest setting a FA cut-off date, and allow all signings up to that point to count, then the players still unsigned go back to the original rosters. There are a lot of players I want to trade for, but they aren't available...I doubt I'm the only one thinking this.

Barely any of those guys are starters. If they havent been signed by the time our game starts its cause they're not very good players which means this game wont miss them very much.
If a player is unsigned by the time we start then they will be left off from the game completely. We're not talking impact players here. Most guys still left are OK starters and decent reserves.
I hate to leave them out of the game completely but I dont like the idea of returning them to their team cause they dont own his rights anymore and would be an unfair advantage for certain owners to acquire unfair trade bait.

Every one of those guys I listed is a starter. They are unsigned because of many different reasons, not because they aren't very good. I don't see anything unfair with putting these guys back in the game. Most owners will probably trade them away anyway.
Perhaps we can have a 1 round FA draft before we start this or something. I just think it would be a mistake to leave those guys out.

It's not like you earn points with trades though. The end result is what we're looking at, not what happens in between.
I wouldn't mind a randomly ordered free agent draft we could do while we're waiting for this thing to start. I think Ace has a randomizer program.

I think what hes trying to argue is that if there players arent on your team in the first place, you are gaining leverage by trading them away to better your team.
And the other team benefits because they are acquiring a player they want. It's not like these are pro-bowlers, just solid starters that can help some rosters. I almost tried to trade for one of those guys last night.

The randomly ordered FA draft is a good idea. I dont think we could do much better than that.

I should be randomized. That's going to give a huge advantage to draft the best FA, then the best rookie. OAK is guaranteed to be a top three finisher as it is, since they have the most room for improvement, what you suggest would seal their fate as the #1 team.

If you want Freeney... bring it. Minimum your first, and total of 3 more first day picks/solid players. Or high pick and a very good player and one more pick. Remember that as a franchise player his default value is 2 firsts... and Freeney has the highest value of anybody franchised this year. I'm not gonna get into an argument with you over the quality of those guys... all I'm gonna say is that Pro Bowl is a joke now. For christ's sake, even Vince Young with his 66.7 passer rating was a probowler; therefore you're not helping yourself. :tung:

a BJ.
It's the first overall pick. It's Calvin Johnson. We don't use future picks in this game. You do the math.
a 1st, 2nd, 4th, + Pro Bowl LB Keith Bulluck and Chris Hope.... thats a lot more value than anyone has ever received in any mock game ive seen!
But the player they're acquiring may be worth it, depending on the team's needs.
Besides, as I said before, future picks have no room in this game so that makes the trades look lopsided.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT
The Oakland Raiders send OG Barry Sims, DE Lance Johnstone and a 4th round pick (#112 overall) to the Atlanta Falcons, in exchange for QB Matt Schaub.
So, thats the mess, how do we fix it? It looks to me as if mooseman traded me the 112th pick (and Pacman for my 2nd), then traded Fez the 112th (among other things to trade up and get CJ) then changed the 112th pick in my deal to the 125th pick...
Edit: and now that I'm looking at the 125th pick, it looks like it was traded to someone else as well..

I PMed Mooseman about this mess. I suggest Mooseman gives you another pick. If its higher, then you throw something else in. If he offers a lower pick (hes traded a bunch of his picks) he'll have to include a player. Or, you can wash out the trade.

Since it was him who messed it up, you can opt to clear it. You'd get your 2nd and 4th back and any trade after the Pac Man deal, involving your picks, will also be washed out.

Then we have to re-draft don't we? I don't wanna mess it up for everyone else, I'll just try to work out then.
Edit: Actually it would be him getting the 4th back, but none the less it messes up a bunch of other trades.

Guess who's on the trading block?
That's right, the best OLB in football and a rising star MLB.
Keith Bulluck (Raiders) and Jonathan Vilma (Jets) can be acquired for the right price, and believe me, they are not cheap. Get them while you can, don't let other teams snag them.

You dont have to revery players if you dont want to. You could always bring them back and try to trade them ASAP if you dont want them but you're more than welcome to leave a FA off your roster. Its no different than not including those crappy guys off the end of your depth when you copy and paste em.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
The Oakland Raiders send the #1 overall pick plus a third round pick (first one of that round, #65 overall I think) to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a first round pick (#10 overall), a second round pick (#35 overall), a fourth round pick (#112 overall), S Chris Hope and LB Keith Bulluck.
1. You should be ashamed of yourself!
2. You gave up CJ, your not fit to run a team anymore, i dont care if you got a top 5 S and OLB plus three great picks. anyone worth their weight in pesos should know CJ is more valuable than all 32 teams and their players. You may have to spend some time on my banned list.

How about a compensatory pick, #35. You guys would pick back to back. I know this has never been done but I cant undo Fez's trade and obviously cant leave you with no pick.
Its tough to figure this out cause Mooseman has traded all his picks. Maybe he can give you Donte Stallworth for that 2nd rounder.
Any other ideas?

Jennings was a 1st rounder last season and Brown, a DE, just got cut from a team thats suffering (and looking for a cure) for their lack of pass rush.
Im not sure Brown will even be in the NFL next season and Jennings is an up and coming starter.
