I see and here rumor on the net that their's plans in the workss for a new stadium . Any one know when it's going to be built.I feel we really need it to be a competitve team in free agent market since now were in the bottom third of income in the league. So you can't completely blame ownership for not spending money if they don'y have it to spend. If and when we get a new stadium hopefully we see the spending on players and free agents go up and be able to keep some guys we lost like jp.

In the year 2020, When a new stadium trend comes out. Seriuosly by the time we have a new staduim, well be late on the trend. I say trend cause look at candlestick. It technically started the cookie cutter trend in 1960. I know it wasnt fully closed until 1972, but if you look at what use to be homeplate, it technically was started here. So either way york wont do jack and whats the point of even caring anymore. with york it wont happen, get over it man!!

If eddie was running the team we'd be already playing in the stadium. but john ain't even half the man eddie is. infact are we sure he aint like rupaul?? a guy in drags...LOL!!!

Nothing like being woefully uniformed, yet capable of offering a poison opinion to someone's detriment. Truth is, had Eddie not tried to arrange an illegal side-contract to get kick-backs from the first stadium contractor, we'd probably have a new stadium.

One thing that fans seem to forget is that the city of San Francisco ownes the Stick not the 49ers. The 49ers just can't go in and do whatever they want to the stadium. If you have a lease on a house, you are not going to tear down and build a new one on the same site for the person who ownes it. So the fault is not all on Dr. York and Mr. D.. One other thing to remeber is the 49ers and the Raiders are in the highest COL areas that have teams. The Jets and Giants do not even play in NY and look how it is going for them and getting new stadiums.

Another thing to remember is the city of San Francisco is so politically radical that any new development in that city is going to be about ten times more difficult than most other major cities in the USA.
