I like the Mike walker pick late. I saw a couple of his games. He was a beast. Think he could be a good option for us.

As for Blades he is a solid 3rd rounder so he should be there:

42. 49ers OLB Anthony Spencer 6’3 265 4.70 Purdue
76. 49ers T Doug Free 6’6 324 5.28 Northern Illinois
100. 49ers(Wsh) DE Ryan McBean 6’5 280 4.98 Oklahoma St.
106. 49ers NT Paul Solial 6’4 338 5.07 Utah

137. 49ers C Dan Mozes 6’3 295 5.36 West Virginia

Yeah...not that bad...add in a CB with the extra third round pick and I would be happy.

Anthony Spencer is a horrible pick IMO. Woodley would be a much better fit.
Spencer is a DE. Looked horrible at the combine. He was not very fluid in his movements and will take time making the transition to 3-4 OLB. Woodley played the 3-4 @ Michigan, he's more polished, won't have to make the transition and will be a better fit for our team.
On Spencer:
"Lack of size could see him as a better fit for a 3-4 alignment as a linebacker (has the speed to make plays in front of him) … "
http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/spencer_anthony
On Woodley:
"Might have the size and experience at linebacker, but even when playing that position, he was pulled in obvious passing situations (struggles getting good depth in his drops) … "

Carriker would start over BY if we took him at 11. Nolan has stated that BY's reps are going to be reduced this year, so someone will probably going to be starting over him.

Woodley ran about 50% DE in the 4-3 at UM and everything you stated about Spencer has been said about Woodley.

Thats how it looked when I originally looked at it. I'm not big on the idea of a 1st round WR. It had us taking a WR in the 2nd round that I though was decent, but I can't recall the name, maybe Jason Hill?

BY will be the starter. They cant put the GOAT on the bench. He'll see reduced reps, but he'll still start.

Well, said and that is exactly why (well that and it's VERY rare a rookie starts) I put BY first on my depth chart. Thanks SB.

I'd be pretty happy with this but I don't think Brandon Jackson is making it out of the 3rd. He should be ranked as one of the top 5 backs coming out but he's not well known.
