After 3 months of dedicating my life (during work) to our 2007 draft, I have come up with an “Ultimate Mock”.

• My mock is very realistic
• My mock addresses our priority needs in the first 3 rounds (DE, WR, ILB)
• My mock has no BS
• My mock addresses Willis vs. Carriker issue
• My mock only includes Real football players… no big headed cry babies.

I used our current selections with an additional 3rd round comp pick, and took out one of the 4th round picks (either to move up or for a trade). I’ve left the later rounds for McNolan’s hidden gems.

This is not for my personal glory… This is for Our team... This is for our Dreams. Enjoy!

Scenario #1

1. Patrick Willis (ILB): “True Leader” – will be our Urlacher, just better
2. Jason Hill (WR): “Playmaker” – will get the job done, with style!
3. Ikaika Alama Francis (DE): “Fighter” – never quit attitude with talent
3. John Wendling (FS): “Super Athletic Ballhawk” – should be everywhere
4. Paul Soliai (DT): “Plugger” – can’t go wrong with this big boy
4. Yamon Figures (WR/KR): “Highlight Reel” – SportsCenter every Sunday
5. Alan Barbre (OT): “Upgrade” – I pray that Kwame gets better but in case…

Scenario #2 (only changes are with rounds 1 and 3)

1. Adam Carriker (DE): “Beast from Hell” – graceful mauler will cause Chaos
2. Jason Hill (WR): “Playmaker” – will get the job done, with style!
3. Buster Davis (ILB): “Mighty Mouse with a Thunder” – Mike Singletary clone
3. John Wendling (FS): “Super Athlete Ballhawk” – should be everywhere

I’ve reached for some and wished for some….. but I think that either scenario will make our team, a team that we can all be proud to call “49ers”.

But I thought you said it was "My mock is very realistic"???? Well it isn't realistic if if you are wishing and reaching!

Try this mock (shameless plug of my own!): http://forums.49ers.com/messageboard/showthread.php?t=21810

Not bad but Figures in the 4th? No need to over pay by two rounds for 40 time. I dont like Hill in the second either but, draft would address most of the needs of the team.

in a real draft, many teams reach for players and wish for players to fall.

Yaman was a reach but wanted to reiterate his worth. It's not just his 40 time.... just look at his returns on film... purely awesome!

Round 1. Patrick Willis LB Ole Miss - I don't think we can pass on this kid at #11. He could be a big time player for us for years to come and would solidify us with a young very talented group of LBs. Our starters would be Willis, Moore, Lawson, and Banta-Cain.
http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/ilb/patrickwillis.html

Round 2. Sidney Rice WR South Carolina - We need a young WR that can bloom into a #1 and I think Rice is just that. He is 6'3 and has good hands. He should be there in the 2nd round.
http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/sidneyrice.html

Round 3. Ikaika Alama-Francis DE Hawaii- He has good size and very good athletic ability for that size. He is a 3-4 DE and needs some coaching to develop, however we have some pretty good defensive coaches.

Round 3 (comp pick). Dan Bazuin DE/OLB Central Michigan. His production was outstanding at Central Michigan and his motor never stopped running. He could play DE and OLB for us, which is a win-win situation. I think that if we get Alama-Francis and Bazuin in the 3rd round our DE situation could look very promising.

Looks good to me….however, I think we can wait one more round to pick a WR and possibly grab Paul Williams from Fresno St in the 3rd…….maybe.

Why do you keep calling him "McNolan"? Did Nolan endorse McDonalds or something?

Isn't he supposed to be very fast. Hows his hands and route running. From Fresno, any baggage?

Paul Williams could become a stud.... but at this point, he is an underachiever.

I thought a lot about waiting for the 3rd round for a WR but could not justify losing Hill or Rice. I think that our WR need is greater than we realize.

Maybe if you post it in one more forum, it will become a better idea. 4 forums is the tipping point
