Jersey Upkeep Question

Hey, I was wondering if anyone had the throwback Vernon Davis jersey, and if so, how do you wash it? I had a Peyton Manning jersey that is similar to the embroidery style as our throwbacks. The numbers on the two jerseys are one single layer, and get messed up when you wash them in a washing machine. So, I returned my Manning jersey for another one and now I hand-wash that jersey. So, basically, does anyone have the VD throwback, and if so, do you encounter the same problem?

I've always washed each jersey I own (screen printed and various forms of authentic) individually on the delicate setting in the washing machine, and never had any problems.

But another important key is I then let each jersey air dry. Machine drying jerseys will ruin them, especially if you have a screen printing on it, because the intense heat of the dryer will eat away at it. It could have an effect on the patchwork, too, but I'm not going to find out.
