In the first trade you got an unproven one dimensional WR and a medicore CB whos never been a starter. Meanwhile, you gave up a top 3 CB.

In this deal, you got some good players but they're old. You could have helped to rebuild your offense with that 3rd pick.........now you've got old players.

it was close, ill give you that but for a couple things:

those picks were closer to 3 and 4th rounders than 2nd and 3rd

i felt WR and pass rush was a bigger need than SS and OT

plus i still shored up the safety spot with bell.

finally, jason taylor is far better than any player you offered


in the end, the fact is i can find OT's easily somewhere else, and the draft is a crapshoot, whereas jason taylor is a rare find, especially for a team like mine trying to adjust to the 3-4, and a WR who can compete for a #1 spot like booker are somewhat tough to come by.

lemme tell u about the NYG. he is 1) a very good negotiator, who canslowly slip out his own players and add in yours to the trade, and he's somewhat stupid (no offense) he makes you stop looking at the trade from an overall POV and focuses more on individual players. i also think he thinks that guys like mathis or just as valuable as moss and webster (re: where i got ripped), which helps him argue his point

To clarify, I felt that combination of Thomas Jones, Keyshawn Johnson, Mike Minter, Maurice Hicks, and pick #51 were more valuable to the Colts than Reggie Wayne, Joseph Addai, Bob Sanders and pick #32.

Particularly because I don't like Addai and got a good deal for him in Johnson and Minter and I think Sanders is WAY overrated. He had one good season last and hasn't established that he can stay healthy over a full season (since he has never played a full one).

I don't really see the big deal either, it's not like your trade was/is the only lopsided trade in this game. I was actually thinking of doing a 3 way trade to get Hartwell from the Falcons to the Patriots.

I understand why you guys would get angry, that is why I was trying to point out how each of the 5 trades were essential to making this deal worth anything.

If I only owned one team and someone else owned the other, you guys would have just said it was a bad trade.

Quite a few people have thought that bad trades have gone down, but the owners always argue that it made sense for them and was worth it. That is all I am trying to say

I wouldn't be making any arguments if it was another owner. This was a matter of creativity that helped both my teams and I would have no problem if other people did the same thing.

It is completely possible that an owner would possess two teams who made perfect trade partners and couldn't do anything about it. The rule was emplaced to avoid trades like Peyton Manning for Patrick Estes, which could have been done had the rule not been added

He has been on the block ever since I posted my roster dude. And I didnt need Rodgers anymore, plus he hasnt proved anything except he can get hurt. I'm sure he could be good if given the chance but for this game, I dont need him so I sent him away. That was the best offer I got so I accepted it.

The odds of a player being available at pick 127 and at 131 are immense.

Any player I wanted to take at 127 would almost certainly be available at 131. The odds against it are 3/131... Like I said, not really a difference maker

Next year when we do these games I'll guess we'll make a rule for no 3-way trades... but for now I don't see any problem with them. It's like a lawyer finding a loop hole in the law... cheesy maybe, but perfectly legal.
