On Nfl Live Smith said the Lions may take Gaines Adams with the 2nd pick. That is a very intreging thought, that could lead to a great deal of events players falling to us. One person in particular Adrian Peterson falling. If he falls to us we should grab him, trade bait. Buffalo, Green Bay, Tennessee could give us some nice picks. \
Thoughts?

OH ya and again he said the 9ers could push for the Super Bowl!

AP will not fall out of the top 6.

From what i have heard they will only take Adams if they can trade out of the spot, but DE imo is their biggest need. I have to think thought faced with inability to trade out they would have to take thomas CJ or a QB.

Why? Sorry but I believe if you have a player rated in a higher possition due to need or what ever you take them, as did the Texans last year. You take the player you want, if they trade down or not they have to go with what they want.

Houston will be the one team to take Peterson. They will be torn between him and Levi. So you don't know what could happen.

It's definitely possible. Look at everyone beyond Cleveland's 3rd pick: Tampa Bay has Cadillac Williams, Arizona has Edgerrin James, Washington has Clinton Portis, Minnesota has Chester Taylor (questionable, but they seem to like him), Atlanta has Warrick Dunn and Jerious Norwood, who they love, and Miami has Ronnie Brown and a returning Ricky Williams. If Peterson falls to Houston, chances are, Houston will pick him up, but even then, it's not that far of a reach to get him, if we really wanted to.

Arizona will take him at 5, if he's still there

If Joe Thomas is there he is the pick for Arizona, no doubt about that.

Edge's money was mostly paid last year, and another big chunk gets absorbed this year. He's as good as gone next year if he has a repeat performance of '06.

I think CLE is going to take him anyway, so moot point.
