If DEN comes along waving a pick at us it will need to be better than that. Smiley easily is more valuable than a later 3rd round choice. Another snag is that DEN really has no need for an OG. At least not one that is so burning that they would want to trade and unseat their current players. As suredly as DEN has often plucked starting RBs from the late rounds they find lots of OL in later rounds too. Lepsis and Pears were undrafted. Nalen was a 7th rounder. Myers and Kuper, backup interior OL also were late choices, etc. While Smiley would be great for them I somehow doubt they'd be our partners on this one.

I'm definitely doubting Moses falls all of the way to the middle of the 3rd round. To the early 2nd, sure but he does have pass rushing skills. Teams will take a risk on a 2nd round tweener if he can pass rush. I just think his talent is too good in that arena for 2 full rounds of teams to pass him by.

I'm going to push over and over again for a direct backup to Gore instead of a complement back. The point of a backup is to fill the role if the starter gets hurt. Drafting a player known for poor inside running won't help us replace Gore in case of injury. A complement back is nice, but I'd rather invest in a rangy, outside runner with hands as a 3rd RB/KR than one we could need for dirty work. With that said, I'd shy away from Booker myself. He could replace Hicks, but Hicks wasn't impressive as a backup either.

I really don't want to think of what we'd do with another OLB. As for Thomas, why are we drafting a kid who really has never played real football before?

Not entirely. What you don't see is that their 5th, 2 of their 6ths, and their 7th round pick are compensatory picks. More or less those last 3 picks are throw-aways in terms of actual expectations. Also, that 5th is about the same as an early 6th, not exactly top notch talent either. If I were them I'd be all for packaging the 180&202 picks and trying to get a solid middle 5th rounder out of it all. God knows those other 4 picks will give them ample chance to gamble.

Really they own a 1,1,3, and 4 outside of the effective 6th round. That's nothing to really brag about. Last time I looked they need help at S and ILB as well as a need for some better QB, RB, OLB, and CB depth. If I were that club I'd be all for swapping out one of those 1st rounders for a 2nd and at least another 3rd pick.

Jamaal Anderson is 6'6" and just over 280, I think he fits.

I don't think he does. Anderson does not routinely play at 280 lbs. If he regularly played closer to 290 and that was his low weight, it would be something else. But considering how he normally plays around 270 and had on too much weight, that's not a 3-4 DE. Besides, I think drafting him is a moot point because he's a solid top 10 pick that I doubt will fall to us. He's one of the few top down DEs and at the same time about the only one with a good size/weight/height/power package to stop the run and still be a sack producer. Most of the other prospects measure out as too light or short or edge-rusher only, etc.

I like your first three rounds in both but I also don't see Moses falling that far in the first scenario and I don't think Manuel Ramirez falls to us at pick 97. I'd love for him to be on our team but I think we'd have to take him at 76 or trade up to take him a little after that.
Also at pick 28 we might have a shot at Bowe (Meachem will be gone) and I think he'll end up being better than Jarrett because he gets better separation, runs good routes and uses his body well to shield off defenders. If Bowe is there take him or if not then maybe we would pick a DE like Justin Harrell or go O-line with Kalil or Staley.
