Well you gotta remember. A lot of our fans hate Brooking, a lot love him. So when Hartwell was signed it would naturally lead to an argument on who's better. The same thing happened (but on a minor scale) with Kerney and Abraham.

The numbers he posted look very nice....too bad he made them all up and spoke of them as if they were fact lol.

They're real #s but they're used stupidly. I want Vick to be as good as his talent could allow, but I don't understand why our fanbase makes the entire team suck to make him look that much better. People act like no possible QB could win with the Falcons except Vick, but then say that all our backups suck because they didn't win :rolleyes2:

The excuse this year was that the defense blew while Vick did all he could. Doesn't help that after the 2nd Bucs game Vick says something along the lines of 27 points should be enough to win. Hmm, in 2003 Doug Johnson QBed a couple of games where we scored well over 27 and we lost most of them (I think we only won one). Schaub QBed 28 points on the Pats, we lose. Last year it was the WRs and OL, but those excuses didn't exist for our other QBs. Its one excuse after another, I can see why the guy never improves. Nobody challenges him.

I was refering more to points 2 and 3 in his post:


2. You posted Brady's record against winning teams now post the rest of the QBs with 20 or more starts against winning teams. I bet Vick is right up there near the top. In fact I'd guess he's top 5 after maybe Brady, Favre, McNabb and Manning. Pretty **** good company huh son? Especially when you compare the supporting casts of all those QBs.

3. Had Vick gotten a little more support from his defense, kickers and WRs in these seven games he would have been more like 14-8 against winning teams, which would probably be one of the the best, if not the best in the league:


2 of his 3 points are completely fabricated and he acts like they are great points.

2. I'd guess Battle is just as good as Torry Holt, Marvin Harrison and Terrell Owens! Pretty good company huh?

3. Had Battle been born with 4 legs he would have been like 34-2 which would make him the best WR in the NFL!

any forum is pretty comical.. i'm sure when other teams fans come here and see people talk up WRs who have been in the league for 2 years with no catches or 7th round QBs being our future over a #1 overall pick i'm sure they get a good laugh or two

How can they compare vick to those other QB's? Their styles are nothing alike...all of those QB's are pocket passers who win games from inside the pocket. Vick, on the other hand, is a scrambler who wins games with his legs or by buying time with his legs to throw th ball.

Until vick can prove that he can command the field with his arm, he shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath with those guys....that's not to say he isn't talented, but his talent is much different.

Well back in the 04 offseason I started going to the MB of most the teams we played. I wasn't met as graciously as I would have hoped here, but stuck around. Besides if it wasn't for a 2nd stint in GA I would be a Niner fan.

No. My SNs were daredevil25 (original SN), daredevil2-5, Sac-Town Devil 25, and currently Falcon Bebop (my original SN but the mod changed it eons ago and forgot :))

P.S. Falcon Bebop is named after the anime Cowboy Bebop, so don't get any thoughts!
