Heres a trade that may happen...i may mess it up but here it goes:
Jets trade with NO and then Oakland trades with Jets..
Oakland gets a QB (Lienart or Young)
Jets get Jerry Porter and other picks first day
NO drafts Brick (i think) and some picks
It goes sumn like that...whoever else heard it please add on
I hope this happens b/c maybe that can keep Denver out of the mix b/c we all kno they want VD in the worst way...

Denver does not have the picks to get up in front of us and the only players their said to be wanting to move is Lelie. They are not a threat to take VD anymore.

It looks like this deal would have absolutely no affect on our pick, so im cool with it.
Man, that would make the Titans "Matt or Vince" dilemma a lot easier to solve if Oakland picks before them.

If they had that strategy in mind they would have just offered the two first's they had. As it is now they would have to give at minimum the first both seconds + a third which would put them down one draft pick they had before our trade. Any positive equity they earned with our trade would be nullified by a trade into the top 5. They are not a plausible threat. They are however in perfect position to throw Lelie plus an extra second or third to G.B. for Walker. Something if we were ever interested in we lost with the trade.
From S.I.
Despite persistent rumors that they have been in contact with the Saints (No. 2 overall) and the Jets (No. 4) as part of a three-way deal that would move them up to No. 2, two well-placed NFL sources have confirmed that the Raiders have not made specific inquiries to move up in the order and that they are content, for now, to stick with the No. 7 pick.

They were just speculating, not any real trade talks I believe.

On ESPN Radio Todd McShay of Scouts, inc. came on and said the Raiders are dangling Porter since they are deep at WR and covet Vince Young and they do not want Leinart....so this rumor has some legs...but I'm not all that big on Sports inc rumors...take it fwiw.

I've been reading that the Titans have been trying to decide between Young and Lienhart, with the HC and OC wanting Matt and the owner wanting Young. Evidently, the owner won out, and they plan on taking Young 3rd overall, which would blow any trades for Young out of the water. However, when the combine began, there were rumors that Al Davis was enamoured with Lienhart, and they just had a meeting the other day, so they could technically make a trade for him as well.

Personally, I think that the Titans will take Young since I think he has more upside than Mac9 and Floyd Reese and Bud are enamored with him. I'm very excited about the draft and it's been a while since a draft has been this deep. It should be a wild weekend.

I think the only way the Raiders move up is if V. Davis & Hawk are both gone quickly, knowing that in this situation the 49ers target guys can't be picked, and that would give the 49ers incentive to trade down to a team that would want to move up and take a QB.
Otherwise, why trade up when they know the 49ers are going to pick the best available non-QB?
