That's what I was thinking. As ridiculous as it sounds - watching his interview made me feel he's the guy we need to take. I know it's what's on the field that counts (and by all accounts Willis does pretty well there) - but seeing the look in his eye, the attitide - really makes me want him on our team.
Also I liked the interview with CJ. I want him too....:flex:

Hey Benji,
Is a great human being a higher level than being good person or a good man?
Just wondering.

latest SI mock has detroit trading with altanta and taking willis at 8th, hope not but it sounds reasonable. if we end up with carriker it will still be a good pick for us.

I felt exactly the same way--he'd be a perfect fit for us...great character-wise, Butkis award winner and 4.38 speed in the 40???!!! Woah! The only problem is he's such a quality player that I doubt he'll be available by the time we pick, somebody will snap him up. I did see that Buffalo was highly interested in him and they're a pick behind us. I've already gotten one wish granted by God having Nate Clements come to play here, I don't suppose I could have a second one granted...maybe Nolan could engineer a trade up to get him? That would be sweet!

I have liked him for a while now. He is a high character guy that can flat out play. I was able to see the spot on him that NFLN aired and his workout tape show just flat out speed.
I think we can get by this year at DE with what we have here now. IMO DE is an area that can be addressed in FA next year or in the 08 draft. This year we need help at ILB and this guy can help us from day one, not to mention for years to come.
I have to admit that if we do not pick him up (if he is on the board) I will be pretty disappointed. Last year the thought was we were either getting Davis or Hawk and most, including myself would have been happy with either. We could end up having our cake and eating it to with Willis. Every indicator is that he could be even better than AJ Hawk and most certainly should be an an upgrade to anybody we have in the middle now.

That was a nice story. I hope he does well no matter who he plays for.

I like Willis, but don't want to move up to take him. If he goes top ten then stick with 11 and draft Carriker. Save the ammo for moving up to the top of the 2nd or end of the first and grab Bowe, Meachem or Jarrett if one them is available. If not, stick with 42 and get Jason Hill. I actually like having the multiple 3rds and 4ths. There is a lot of talent there.
