View Full Version : Why is Brady Quinn on Mike and Mike?

I can't believe this kid. For months now he has gone around campaigning for himself like a fricking politician instead of letting his game tapes speak for himself; and now I have to watch take every interview to rationalize his fall? It is tuesday and the draft is over. Why isn't he with his team or his family and looking toward the future? Forget the media game and go out and prove yourself. I applaud the commisioner for having the compassion to take the kid away from the cameras, but Brady squarely put himself in front of them everytime he gave an interview saying that he should go higher than Russell.

It is true that I hate Notre Dame and everytime they go to a bowl game because they beat up on the academies. But tell me if I'm off base. I am starting to think that halfway through the season, Brady will start campiagning for the Browns to make the playoffs because despite a losing record they "Did some good things." What do you guys think?

Fair enough. I said I was biased. I just tune in to sports news hoping that they will talk about something new. Instead its just the same stuff with the same people rehashed again and again and it can get annoying.

He's now a celebrity, he's gonna gonna be in the media a lot so might as well get used to it. He's no different than any other high-profile player I've seen.

Why did ESPN have the camera on him every 10 seconds? And I'm talking hours after Cleveland drafted him!

I turn on the draft the following day and what do I see? Brady Quinn updates, breakdowns, features and interviews. Hard to get any draft updates when they went over to the Brady Quinn Situation Room...

I didn't see any other draft pick campaign for himself nearly as much as Brady did. Now I also realize that it was a two-headed race for top Qb and he did have the most to lose, but I think he went a little overboard. I don't mind when he gives interviews during the draft, at camp or after games when the media expects to hear from him, but it seems like he is still actively seeking out media sources to get his voice out there.

Who wouldn't want to promote themselves? I mean seriously, if it bothers you there are other stations you can listen too.

Quinn reminds me a lot of Eli Manning=overrated. Just like Notre Dame=overrated. At least Quinn hasn't said something to lose face yet, it's still Cleveland as much as we glorify it so we'll see how he pans out in a couple years.

i really hope eli goes down the drain and phillip rivers excels to (a deserving) pro bowler. i hated eli's attitude towards being drafted by san diego.

As much as I dislike Brady Quinn I have to disagree with you.

It is tuesday and the draft is over. Why isn't he with his team or his family and looking toward the future? Forget the media game and go out and prove yourself.

In recent years its been this way and I don't see it changing so get used to it. Look at all the other rookies throwing out the 1st pitch of a ball game or giving out interviews left and right. These guys are the new faces of their franchises, and if you were the Browns you'd get him as much publicity as possible, the more appearances he makes the more jerseys they sell.

Don't worry.. he got drafted by the Browns. When he gets a season ending injury or a staph infection in his leg you won't have to see or hear from him for a while.
