An Alternate Look...somewhat commical but stil plausable mock I felt left out not having my own mock thread and decided to take the piss:nana:
2 Trades
1. The saints select M Williams and trade him + a pick to be determined to the Jets for D'brick and DT Robertson who will struggle mightily as a 3-4 DE
2. Minnesota trade up to #13 and gives Baltimore a 3rd and possibly a 5th
1.Houston: Bush...... They could use other players more but they would be crucified if they didnt come away with Young or Bush at this spot.
2.New Orleans: Williams....... they covet D'brick or Hawk but neither have the value at this point.
3. Tennessee: Young.......Who's judgement is more important, GM and Owner or HC and OC? Ultimately the guy paying the bills gets what he wants and takes Young.
4. Jets: D'Brick....... then trade him to the Saints.
5. Green Bay: Hawk......Probably the surest pick of the draft the cheese heads need a backer and the best one in the draft is waiting for them.
6.S.F. VD. the team tries like heck to trade down a spot or two and still take VD or Huff but no one bites, so they take the guy that can Help Smith the most while also bringing some excitement and crazy athletic ability to the offense.
7. Oakland Fairies: Huff..... Cutler and Young are the only two Qb's that make sense for Oakland and what big gay Al wants Young is gone and this is too much a reach for Cutler. They think about taking Bunkley but go with the BPA in Huff who wont have the attitude problems of Woodson.
8. Buffalo: Justice..... they have had horrible line play since Jennings left via FA. They think too about Bunkley but take the high upside postential of a 10 year Tackle instead.
9. Detroit: Simms.......They wanted Huff and think long and hard about taking Leinart but the D need more help and they have the chance to fill a major need with possibly the next D Brooks so they go with the best WLB available in Simms.
10. Arizona: Leinart......Denny Green thought he'd have to decide on taking a QB first only he thought that QB would be Cutler. Now with the choice of the two they start salavating at the possibility of a long term relationship with Leinart and Paris Hilton handling the balls for both their premier wideouts and free rooms at the Hilton on road trips.
11.St. Louis: Bunkley.......Holt may want a corner but its a deep draft for them and the ones they have are not that bad when healthy. Safety is also a concern and J Williams may be the pick. In the end they go with the guy with hge upside and a position that wont be nearly as tantilizing to fill in the second round.
12.Cleveland: Ngata...... The team needs a backer and DT with the draft deep at the linebacking position they take the only other first round DT and a perfect fit for the Smith defense.
13. Minnesota:Cutler...... They get the feeling baltimore might take the only other top QB in the draft and bite the bullet and make the trade for Cutler
14. Philadelphia: Jackson..... They have needs and think about Lb's Ryans and Greenway but decide on what they feel is the best wideout in the draft. Andy Reid is allowed to make the announcement himself, where he shows up in white tights with T.O's album stamped agross his **** and promptly does the G.B. moon.
15. Denver: Holmes.......They think long and hard about a RB here but the ole coaches ego about late round backs excelling in his offense prevents him from making the pick, they go with Holmes whom they also covet.
16. Miami: Whitner.......Its no secret they wanted WR Jackson out of Florida but missed out on both WR's and the value at LB is not there with the pick so they fill a need and go with Whitner.
17. Baltimore (Via Trade): J Williams.......He has fallen in recent weeks but he is a talent much like Greenway who produces even though the numbers say they are not great athletes.
18. Dallas: J Allen....... Quite simply the perfect fit with Roy Williams on the other side.
19. San Diego: A Cromatie.....They could go so many ways and I really think they want Winston but realize its too early so they go with possibly the guy in the draft with the most upside in Cromatie
20. Kansas City: K Wimbley.....They will go defense and have many needs Ty hill would be a possibility but the realize no matter who covers the WR's if the Qb has all day he'll get a completion. Wimbley will bring an attitude and mad pass rush ability to a D thats been horrible for years.
21. New England: Carpenter.......They need a CB badly but their LB's are older than dirt and they need to retool them. Carpenter seems like the prototypical patriot backer.
22. S.F. Lawson.......Speculation has run rampant about this pick a premier RB could be addressed as well as Corner and safety but with both Greenway and Lawson still on the board the Niners take 2 of the top3 athleats in the draft and select Lawson.
23.Tampa: T Hill.....Superb cover corner for the bucs and solidifies a position that could be rail thin after FA next year.
24. Cincinnati: G Watson......they could use a safety and DE but there has been rumors that they may switch to a 3-4 or atleast run it some of the time. Watson is a goliath run stuffer who is easily motivated by hungry man dinners and cupcakes.
25. New York Giants: Greenway.......LB is what they need and they cant believe their luck having Greenway as a pick here even if his name suggest he'd be happier with the Packers.
26.Chicago: L Pope......They consider Moss but realize that Bradley and Berrian are in the same mold so they take a bit of a reach on the matchup nightmare that is the 6-7 Pope who's a more willing blocker than M Lewis.
27.Carolina: D Ryans.......They dont have many needs but Linebacker is one of them. L White was the pick untill his recent issues surfaced so they stay with their 05 2nd rounder in Shelton to back up Foster.....for now.
28. Jacksonville: T Howard......They want to find a replacement for Taylor but they lost a major part of the LB crew durring FA and covet Howard's speed and aggresion.
29. NY Jets: They need a C, T, and RB. what a horrible position to have to pick from Mangold Winston or Williams. Its likely they get either Mangold or Winston at their pick in the 2nd so they take D williams to learn from C-Mart.
30. Indianapolis: Maroney......I dont care what they say this is the biggest need and Rhodes cant stay healthy.
31. Seattle: Hali.......They could go so many ways taking the top G or a Corner to push Herndon but Winstrom is the only quality end they have so they fill that need.
32. Pittsburgh: White.....no reason other than if the football gods have any sense of tradition they will replace one of the best big backs to ever play the game with one who has the potential to be the same.
