Do not care for the Mike Clayton part.. He's borderline getting cut for the Bucs apparently, and has been out partying, late to meetings, not getting on the coaching staffs good side.. etc. Pretty solid team though.
Ditto... but tell me something:
It is either a 12 or 14 team league, and you were picking like #10 in the first round, right?

You swear?
Man, what a difference from his rookie season, uh?... Surpassed the 1,000 yard mark and was a solid candidate for OROY.

Umm OK not what I've been reading.
The Tampa Tribune reports that third-year receiver Michael Clayton has made good on a promise to head coach Jon Gruden to work hard this offseason and get into shape for the 2006 season, something he didn’t do before his disappointing 2005 campaign. Clayton is noticeably thinner, has a new approach to the game and has even been spotted as the only player working out at the Bucs’ facilites at times. "We expect a lot of him, obviously," Gruden said. "It's important to him. He does look good, and hopefully he looks great soon."

Well I found something.. written by a bucs fan (on Bucs board).. I'm going to look for more info/a link though.
I read something interesting from Jeremy Green on ESPN. Someone asked what was the point of bringing in Boston and if it held any value. Jeremy replied stating that if Boston returns to his old form, Clayton may be on the move.
Now we all have read reports saying Clayton has been attending workouts and signed a contract with Gruden supposidly saying that he'll do much better than his 2nd year. Jeremy did not he talked with one of our many scouts for our team who said that our coaches were not pleased with Clayton's laid back attitude, partying, late for meetings, and unattentiveness in meetings (note: we do not know how recently Jeremy talked to this scout). Clayton could have very well changed since then and Boston might be a good example of what happens when you let success go to your head.
The intriguing part to consider here is is this all a show to increase Clayton's trade value? Keep in mind as spectators of the football world we do not see all that goes on behind the scenes. Jeremy once worked with the NFL and even said himself there is a lot of deceit and smokescreens amongst organizations.
As far as Clayton being moved THIS YEAR I can't see it happening. But if he does not improve significantly (significantly being putting up close to the same numbers during his 1st year) then I do see a trade happening in his 4th year. It would be a shame to let so much talent go to waste. The last thing this organization needs is first round busts. (Ever hear of Wendell Bryant, Calvin Pace, Jason Babin, Reggie Williams? Here are some of the more recent "busts")

Is Chris Chambers really getting picked ahead of Reggie Wayne this year?

Apparently, that Jeremy Green is an ESPN Insider writer, and a bucs fan asked him about Michael Clayton, and that's where the rumor is coming from.
