I am not able to attend many niner games a year and i do not have direct tv, so i cannot get the NFL Sunday Ticket. I know a lot of fans have this problem.

There are a few satellite tv online subscriptions you can get. Im not sure if any are worth it. Has anyone heard about these or tried it?

There is also a thing called Slingbox where you can buy a box and hook it up to your tv, then it broadcasts your channels to any pc. If anyone has this in the bay area I would pay you to do it so i could watch the niner games.

I don't quite remember the name of it, but there was this website that you could subscribe to for like $3 a month, and it played most 49er games on there. If anyone remembers, I'd also like to know the name of it. Living in VA, you don't see the 9ers much.

thats a pretty cool site. Im gonna try it out. It actually shows the only things i watch. Sports and the popular stuff like lost, niptuck..ect. For $4 a month that could save me hundreds a year. Im just wondering how good the picture quality is.

Use streamtvnow.com They stream most of the games. As long as you have a good, fast internet connection it should be no problem. It's less than $4.00 a month. I use it alot for overseas boxing that we can't get here as well......

Streamtvnow's site is confusing. How do you subscribe? It is just a big message board.

Could you have watched the 2 games you missed or were they unavailable?

I just got high speed internet through Comcast because my wife is taking some Grad classes online. I have been seriously considering getting direct tv just so that I can get the nfl sunday ticket. My wife is not happy about the Sunday Ticket thing but I just say "it's my b-day present". I hate sitting in a sports bar and seeing the game but not hearing it. If this stream tv works well for fellow niner fans I may give it a shot. I'd sure like to see/hear the niner games withour sunday ticket if possible.

no, I could not have watched them...they did not stream these two...it depends on the guys who put their stream online...if there is no one streaming a niners game, than they wont show it...but seems as if there is always a niners fans putting his stream on...
and there is also the possibility to ask one of them to stream a game...if enough people ask him to stream a niners game, he will...
and thin is, when teams play at 4 pm, they usually show every game because their are not that many games played at 4pm...if its a one pm game, it depends, as i said before, on the guys streaming...

Agree with the above. A majority of the 49er games come on at 4. You figure 8 at least with the hom games and maybe half the road games. Since there is less games on, they tend to stream all the 4:00 games. If anything, you can request a stream....

I had the direct tv for a little over 2 years. The NFL package itself is almost $200. To top that off, your regular bill will wind up being $40 something dollars for basic. I had to keep my regular cable for my internet, so I just said hell with direct tv. If Stream tv misses out on 1 or 2 games, I just go out to watch them. Doing the math on it:

Direct tv - $90 a month during football season. (NFL package and regular channels est.)

Stream tv - $14.60 a month (plus, you can catch some NBA, UFC or boxing streams as well)

Hell, if you have the money, by all means get the dirct tv. If you are trying to save a few bucks, watch it online. Hit up the bar with a few friends for the 1 or 2 games you might not see...........

I have Cox cable internet, so my connection is good. Will I get good quality even on full screen? I'll hook up my laptop to the tv, if I can get good quality. I want to renew my Sunday ticekt, but it's so dang expensive.
For those of you that watch the games through streamtvnow.com, help me out guys...

Thx

That link isn't working.

Also, will it work for NFL-Network?
