Dude relax, why is it so important that theyget signed so fast. Theyre gonna take their time and work out a fair deal for both sides. im not sure but im guessing none of them are going to hold out...

Every year people are worried about when the top draft picks will get signed, and every year it's the same thing:

Unless there is a hold out, it will be close to or on the first day of training camp for a few reasons...

1) Agents will hold out until lower picks have been signed before negotiating for their clients. They want to know how much money the market will support before accepting any offers. Say a 1st round pick accepts a deal shortly after the draft, and then in the months before training camp, signings increase to the point where a later pick receives more money? No agent worth his weight in dirt would allow that to happen. There is no hurry, so they will wait as long as possible.

2) After mini-camps are over, players, coaches and front office staff are enjoying personal time before the grueling process of a football season begins. They are spending time with family, vacationing, etc... For most players and team personnel, the first time they will be in the 49ers facility together, will be the first reporting date of training camp. This also becomes the most convenient time to put pen to paper.

3) Someone may want to hold out.

Greg Olsen is the first 1st rounder to sign. Sometimes its a domino effect with contracts but he was picked 31st so it may not affect a whole lot.
