Because HITTING isn't just contingent on the size of the players....it is really,

MOMENTUM (mass x lenthg/time (speed)), LEVERAGE, TIMING and CUNNING, and PASSION.

Some of the greatest hits were from RONNIE LOTT, LAWRENCE TAYLOR, KENNY EASLEY, BENNIE BLADES, **** BUTKUS......and on and on and they're arent the biggest players but they the BIGGEST HITTERS.

because you now get flaged for everything...you cant even look a QB the wrong way cause you might get a flag thrown...

Players today are soft compared to what they were back then. Then you would have the refs calling some lame penalties.

ended 3 peoples careers and will still not apologize, it just part of the game, even though one of them recently passed away

the best hit of the year was probably Sean Taylor on Brian Moorman in the pro bowl.

Agreed. I had to watch that hit at least 10 times after because it was sooo brutal. Too funny!!!

not impressed. we are talking football hits, not punches. what your talking about is a guy that used to fight on the field and punch people with leather helmets.....not the same.


You are taking it out of perspective though.

The game of football is physical. They all have to sign a waiver that if these players die on the field, none of the authorities will be blamed at.


I don't know if that's true in the NFL, but in high school, we do that. :biggrin:
