im excited about madden 07

Last August AHHHHHH I remember it like it was yesterday. I had been saving a $20 out of the three paychecks I got before the game came out. I was so excited to get it that I left work to take care of "personal business" and drove to a Walmart about 3 miles away. I go in and walk to the beloved electronics section.Oh my god! It's not here. I ask the relatively hot high school girl working the section if they have any Maddens. Thank the Lord they do. I go back out to my blazer and sit in the parked car and thumbed through the book for about 5-10 minutes. Now it get real ugly:devil:

I try to start my car and it won't fire. I thought my fuel pump was getting bad so I decided to let it sit for a while and walk back (3 miles) to work. I walked back to my Blazer (3 miles) to start off my lunch. Stupid thing still wouldn't start. So I call into work and say I am now having car problems on the heals of my "personal business". I decide to change my fuel filter (yes I am still in the Walmart parking lot, towards the front actually.) With tools I had at work I changed out my fuel filter. It actually went really well if your forget the little gasoline directly in the eyes thing. That was fun going inside to use the Walmart bathrooms, looking like I've been rolling in the parking lot for the past hour, eyes burning so bad that I couldn't even open them. I guess it could have gone better if the filter would have fixed my car.

I have the thing towed across the street to a service shop (lengthy wait for a tow truck too). I wait for the diagnosis in a waiting area like I'm waiting for the birth of my first child or something. Fuel pump was dead and its in the tank $1200 estimate. Pay to have the car towed home to install &#@%?!! fuel pump by myself over the upcoming weekend. Car pooled with the wife the rest of the week, replaced the fuel pump over the weekend for under $300. But if you remember I had been saving for Madden I really didn't even have that to spare.

I didn't really get to play Madden much the first week.

I'm really trying not to be over excited about Madden this year. (Yeah right pretty tough.)

I really have no doubt that the Madden Curse does exist.
But if you had been in my shoes last August you would?

When exactly is it coming out ? This year you can actually play as San Francisco and not get creamed by the other teams.

I'm not sure of the exact date but just go to www.easports.com and maybe click Madden07 or something. Don't worry you won't miss the release date. On that website they usually have a countdown (even to the second) of when the game comes out.

Our team last year is no excuse for not using them. I have a good little group of guys that play madden (my next door neighbor a Chiefs fan) and I whomp all there a's with the niners. Sometimes I have to let up to keep the games close. If your a gamer you can still smoke with the niners. I'm not going to lie to you it's running the crap out of the ball and under 30 yard passes. Maybe it's not worth the time I've spent (I'll look in my EA Bio to estimate how much I play the game) but it's absurd number. I have Madden OCD (yet another curse)

I'm also waiting for this year's madden, but I didn't have the bad luck of Denverniner. I haven't purchased a Madden since 04, so I think I'm due for a new one. I always play franchise, so it seems after a couple of seasons, my team is dramatically different anyways. So to those who are hesitant b/c they think the team will have sorry numbers, play the franchise, and you'll end up with players who will live in your minds forever, even if the name is made up.... :D

dude you just gotta know how to use 'em. I played as them and clinched the wild card at 10-6, on all-madden. alex smith had a QB rating of around 20 though....

Got to the SB in year two but lost. 27-17
