Mike Chappell, of the Indianapolis Star, reports free agent PK Jose Cortez (Colts) received $924 through the NFL's performance-based pay system. The extra pay was for the amount of playing time he received while with the Indianapolis Colts.

This just struck me as funny.

Huh? Pesos is the name of a currency that is valued waaay less than the US dollar. Meaning he hopes Jose got a lot less.

i think pochman and cortez were about the same, but i got to see more of pochman, sadly. That Erikson guy sure couldn't pick a good player if he was the only one in the room.

Not even close.

Cortez made 75% of his kicks while with the niners.

Pochman made about 53%.

They should of just gave him a Case and 1/2 for his work... $924 bucks is way too much for Cortez...

I think the NFL has only like 40 kickers to go around to all 32 teams. If a kicker is having a bad season all they have to do is wait and change jerserys. I think we even signed Cortez last season (again) for two games when Joe "The Toe" Nedney was hurt near the end and they wanted a back up. The Toe came through and still made all of the kicks.

wow that much for a kick-off specialist
Specialist, did I miss something? Cause the Cortez I know couldn't kick a 30 yard
fieldgoal with a 100MPH wind at his back.

How does he manage to qualify to carry a pistol when he can't even kick straight FGs?

I heard he is allowed to carry two guns so his chances of shooting someone is 69% but that's if you rule out his ritual were he does his jesus cross on his chest then his accuracy drops to 24%. that means the guy he is trying to shoot is long gone like his career.

the thought that he even has the strength to handle the recoil of a gun is beyond me

Don't worry he is on duty with his helmet on. He is a big boy.
