I finally booked a flight for myself and my brothers to arrive in San Fran on Sunday September 9th, 2007.

I used priceline.com for our hotel.

The Westin San francisco Market Street FOR $150.00 a night.

Now I need to plan activities for sunday- we will check in at 3pm

and activities for monday before the game..

Still don't have my tickets to the game yet but plan to get them later this month from ebay or stubhub after more season ticket holders put them up for sale.

Any advice on what we should do sunday, monday pregame and advice on getting to and from the game from our hotel's location would be great.

You can go to the biggest NFL game of the year on Sunday. Its just across the bay. Detroit Lions are at the Raiders.

Raiders vs KC or Denver would be cool though.

well if i am correct on game day a bus stops right on market street to pick people up and take them to the game. Thats what i did for the jerry rice game last year vs the hawks. I had a hotel on market street it and was like 2 blocks and around the corner from my hotel. But since the game is on a monday night i dont know if they still do it or not but thats what i would look into it was like 4 dollars. cheap.

We also don't wanna have to take a cab home. Considering were likely to be sitting in traffic it would be very expensive.

Anyone have thoughts on places to get good steak or shrimp near our hotel. or perhaps places that are worth going a bit farther? I hear that a trolley car runs close by and will take you to a placed called fishermans warf.

I stayed at the Westin about 2 years ago after DJing a wedding..Here's what I remember about it..
1. AWESOME HOTEL!!--They have pretty much anything you can think of and rooms are, well, awesome..
2. Cable cars are right outside hotel..You should ride a cable car to get the SF experience..The Sony Metreon is in walking distance too (IMAX and other attractions) Also, a must is Fisherman's Wharf (the dungenous crab is great..You can also arrange for them to send some back to your home if you choose)

Try "Fisherman's Grotto" for restaurant at the Wharf for the freshest seafood and good steaks..It's a tad bit expensive but the whole crab & clam chowder are usually very good..Ghiradelli Square (for the chocoholic in all of us) is walking distance from the Wharf..Check to see if Westin can help get you tixs to Alcatraz tour (they are hard to get) or a tour of AT&T Park (Giants stadium) is available at times too..Cable car should get you close to all these places..Unless you're staying for 3-4 days, pick only the stuff that you really want to see cuz you'll never see it all..
3. As far as getting to the Stick (remember..it has been and always will be the Stick!) for gameday..The Westin should be able to help you get a bus to game or get a rental car, especially if you plan on tailgating (strongly recommended) If you tailgate, plan on getting to the Stick at least 3-4 hours before kickoff, especially if you're BBQing..Whatever you do, bring some food and beverages with you cuz you'll go broke eating and drinking at those prices..Although I do recommend you try the garlic fries inside..As far as leaving the game..hope you're not in a hurry cuz it's a beach getting out after games..Save some food & drink to kill time as traffic dies down (it may take an hour or two)
4. Most importantly: LOSE YOUR VOICE CHEERING!!
