New Fantasy League

Every time I go to enter a fantasy league for people of this board the league is either A) all full or B) has a terrible draft date and time. My idea is to make another but instead of people just going to the site and signing up I would like people to PM me and when we have enough, 12, I will post stuff in the thread as to when people want the draft, how they want the scoring, blah blah blah. I just want a good league to join that is not full already. Let me know who wants to join, serious players please.

Does nobody else need to join a league besides me, I hate it when all the leagues are full or people want to draft on a Wednesday at 1 in June. A little early don't you think, and don't you have a job. Well I want to play some football so come on and join my league, just PM me and we can discuss.

That's what this thread is for, the details. What do you want for a point system and starting lineup. I was thinking the usual 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D.

Point System
Passing around 25yards/1point
TD's 1TD/3points for QB passing 1TD/6points for other
Rushing and Receiving 10yards/1point
1sack/1point 1int/2points
FG 3, then the yardage deal
All negotiable of course.

im use to all td's being 6 points weather it be QB, RB, TE or a WR that scores. But Im in man weather you change it or not. Should be fun. By the way I see my self as the early favorite to win it all!!!:doubleup:

I'm in if we can change the QB TD to 4 points (I like six but realize most dont), 3 just make the QB position so insignificant.

I will change it to 4, not as much as 6, not as low as 3. Good idea. I also set it at 3 WR's, the more players the better.

Also, as far as the draft, it should be done on a saturday night say about 8pm PST? 8pst because that would be 11 on the East, so not too late for those guys.

But like I said earlier Ice Train, if everyone else is up for it, easiest way would be to rank your top 100 players and every time your turn came up the highest ranked available player would go to you. Takes away from the strategical side of the drafting but it's a whole lot simpler. Besides, with the way the rankings go, it's likely someone can have about 3 Top flight RBs and 2 Top Flight QBs so there's going to be lots of wheeling and dealing anyway.

11pm on a Saturday night, I am willing to comprimise but not that much, I probably won't be thinking to straight for that draft. As for the fractional points if others want to use it we can but I remember a season where a bunch of people got burned on that system and I havn't used it since.

I always thought if you were gonna get burned it'd be by not using fractional points.

For example, lets say a RB gets 99 yards so he only gets 4 pts instead of the 5 that he'd get for 100 yards. He ends up in a tie. Where as that 4.8 would've won him the game.

Alright the league is now full let the games begin. The draft time and lineup are still the same since nobody has any problems with them. As of right now there is no fractional points but if more people want it then it's a go. Has anybody thought about the prize idea, things are always sweeter if you win something.
